the way the app works does not let a model read and then sign.

You can choose to create the PDF before it is signed, they can read the unsigned release, they can then sign and you can create the signed PDF.

Nice to know IS accepts E-releases now considering I asked about that last December and it seems a no-no.

I just had MR made with Easy Release rejected because minor did not have DOB. I did type DOB but when I selected Minor it automatically deleted the field. Also, it exports only PDF.

In Easy Release there is an option in preferences to attach a JPG of the PDF to the email.

Yeah, I missed it originally too - that's why I knew how to change it

I'm getting a heap of rejections due to ++Please use only the unmodified version of EasyRelease, thanks++

I don't understand where I have modified it. I filled it in, got the model and witness to sign, emailed to myself then saved in a folder for easy access. Not sure what to do as my model is in another state, we were just there on holiday.

Did you modify the release to add a logo or something else?

Double-check the JPEGs you uploaded, we've seen some coming through that are completely missing the text along the left side of the release. Even if that's not the case with yours, there are some visual things that occur when any part of the EasyRelease is modified, which immediately clue in the Inspector, and they are required to reject the release. We can only accept the fully intact unmodified version of their release.

you are right, there is no text on left side of jpg image at all I thought that must be how they were meant to look. Is there a way to correct this?

Sirimo, I am happy to see that you write "If you want to add a date range you could put it the shoot description field, that should keep the release as 'standard' while still allowing you to specify a few days range."

Are the inspectors aware of this?

Jo, I know you can usually get a new release for each day but if I do a shoot over the weekend it is nice not to have to ask the models sign 3 releases, I know the relases are to protect myself but if my models feels comfortable signing for a few days why is that not as good a protection.

missing text on left side of Easy Release is due to accidently selecting "custom" model release instead of "standard"

Effective immediately iStock will also accept digital release from the 'Top Model Release' app.

The Digital Releases article has been updated to reflect this.

Do we know why electronic releases from China are not valid ? It would be very very handy.

Yes, electronic signatures are not valid under Chinese law at present. You'll need to use a paper release for Chinese citizens inside of China. If they are not Chinese citizens or Chinese citizens who are not inside of China at the time of the shoot/signing then you can use a digital release. If this situation ever changes we'll of course let you know. Hope that helps.
