![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Posted Sun Jul 15, 2012 11:35AM | What is everyone using to track their istock sales/downloads specifically ROI from individual shoots? I know there is microstockanalytics and stockperformer (seems steep at just under $500/year). Does anyone one have any reviews of those or recommend something else? Thanks |

Enjoy PS. works with Excel 2007/2010 The script has been updated to work with the new page layouts. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/52928923/is_fdh.user.js For those experiencing problems because the My_Uploads page is not displaying Credit card sales, the extract script has a "Forced Search" option which basically goes through all your files to find if any have DLs in the date range you specify. Obviously this is much slower search, especially if you have thousands of files, but it is very thorough. |
![]() Posted Fri Sep 21, 2012 10:56PM | Just an update here ... you may or may not have noticed a couple of bugs in the extract tool, but I have made some changes as follows: 1. It had an error with files which were downloaded between 12pm and 1pm that caused these files to incorrectly be reported on the following day. That has been fixed. 2. It now downloads ELs 3. It also kind of does PP downloads. If you click the PP option it downloads all PP sales for a file that you're already looking at, but it's not very smart. So to get all your PP downloads you have to do a full refresh. However, I wouldn't click that link yet because you may have noticed that PP downloads are all showing today's date and are therefore broken on the iStock side. 4. It gives a bit more useful information about each download it's processing in the window as it processes. Here is the link: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/52928923/is_fdh.user.js |
![]() Posted Tue Sep 25, 2012 2:52AM | Can I just say thank you for this tool, it's brilliant. The end balance doesn't quite match up with what iStock says (perhaps because of PP downloads being broken - your tool says I have 3 more than iStock says), but with all the current problems on iStock I'm not going to worry about that for now. I'm just happy I found my mystery sale! |

![]() Posted Thu Sep 27, 2012 7:01AM | I have just updated the extract tool again because iStock has folded the Dollar files into the standard My_Uploads page and pointed the old Dollar pages to the normal My_Uploads page which means if you have Dollar files selected, it runs the same extract twice. Now the option to select Dollar files has been removed so this will stop the double retrieve happening. Here is the link again: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/52928923/is_fdh.user.js |

![]() Posted Mon Oct 1, 2012 6:16AM | Posted By hereswendy: Dave is the script supposed to pick up PP downloads? PP downloads are busted at the moment because they always display the current time and date. The script does kind of pick them up (not perfectly due to some other issues) but doing so at the moment will ruin your stats because they are all wrong on the iStock site. |
![]() ![]() Posted Mon Oct 1, 2012 5:27PM | Ok Dave, it didnt pick them up at all for some reason .... love the script and spreadsheet btw! Well done! |
![]() Posted Thu Oct 4, 2012 11:05AM | I got error while pressing Populate Spreadsheet: Run time error 13 - Type mismatch. It says that error is here: Populate the DLs array with the date Worksheets("DLs").Cells(DL_Loop, 8) = DateValue(temp) BTW, is there anyway to track sales in just one or more lightboxes? Not just the whole portfolio? (Edited on 2012-10-04 11:55:56 by quadfly) |
![]() Posted Fri Oct 5, 2012 2:20PM | The date value mismatch bug occurs if you language is set to something other than US English apparently. I'm afriad there is not tracking for lightboxes or anything like that. I do not plan on adding anything like that either, but you can try Nullplus' excellent new tracking program over here. It doesn't do it yet, but it is a requested feature so you may get it in a later release. |
![]() Posted Fri Oct 19, 2012 2:13PM | It appears iStock has fixed the PP and GI bug (must be the week for fixing bugs that shouldn't have occurred in the first place) which showed all downloads for those sales as the current date. If you use my stats script the best way to download all your PP stats is to select the date range from when you entered the PP to the present and then only select PP files (uncheck regular and extended licenses) and then select Forced Search. This will extract all PP sales for all files in the date range. Then do the normal thing adding them to your spreadsheet. They will show up as "other" sales. To get PP sales in the future I would recommend waiting until the monthly PP sales run has finished and then doing a Forced Search for PP sales with the date range covering that month and then add them to the date range. Currently the only way of picking up all PP sales in a period is using a Forced Search. The limitation is on the script's side not iStock's - I just haven't coded it to check properly so a Forced Search is required. |
![]() Posted Fri Oct 19, 2012 3:44PM | Could you please make it work in Libre Office (free software which works with XSL files) too? I get an error message for the macro. |
