Worst dls since Feb, 2011.
Money was pretty good because of some ELs, take those away and it was average, better than Jan, Feb and April but worse than the rest. Much better than July, 2011 though.

Posted Wed Aug 1, 2012 9:27AM | We've got a long way to go to be back where I'd like to see things (like they were two or three years ago) but this is the BMY for me. A nice change of pace over the steady slide of the past year. |
Posted Wed Aug 1, 2012 9:50AM | Flat compared to last month, but up 50% in $ and down 7% in DL from July 2011 |
Posted Wed Aug 1, 2012 9:53AM | Dls were one third of March and the worst since July '08. Royalties were worst since last December. A BM change seemed to put older files and E+ to the back regardless of recent sales. |
Posted Wed Aug 1, 2012 9:54AM | More or less on par with last month |
Posted Wed Aug 1, 2012 9:55AM | Lowest in $s since I became exclusive. Lowest in downloads since midway through my first year with iStock when I had only a couple hundred files. I hate to ask but how much worse can it get? |
  Posted Wed Aug 1, 2012 9:57AM | Pretty disappointing dls shrinking. |

My dls chart looks like bobshops, above, but my peak was in February.
This chart also looks identical to my chart. |
Posted Wed Aug 1, 2012 10:06AM | Worst month in over 2 years. Terrible. |
Posted Wed Aug 1, 2012 10:16AM | The best July ever, thanks to consistent CLIPS downloads almost all through the month ! |
        Posted Wed Aug 1, 2012 10:25AM | Downloads:
Worse month of the last 68 months (since December 2006).
Compared to previous month dropped 13%.
Compared to last year July dropped 47%
Royalties:
Worse month of the last 42 months (since February 2009).
Compared to previous month dropped 20%.
Compared to last year July dropped 14%. This is interesting; I dropped one pay level since last year, my downloads dropped almost 50% but royalties dropped only 14%. I added number of images in Plus program since last year. |
Posted Wed Aug 1, 2012 10:31AM | DL's are definetly shrinking. A 37% decrease in DL's from last July, despite a 192% increase in uploads since last July.
But, on a happier note, $$ was up 24% over last July. However, it was the worst month this year so far.
It feels like a roller coaster ride.

Posted Wed Aug 1, 2012 10:35AM | Not good as expected. 2nd worst month for 2012 in terms of $, worst month for 2012 in terms of downloads. |
Posted Wed Aug 1, 2012 10:46AM | Took a huge dive in June - July was only slightly worse. Ready for the summer slow down to be over. |

It appears the Photo contributors are affected, if not solely, but probably most severely, regarding the sales plunge in recent period? It would be interesting to find out if the same downslope trends was detected in other creative categories on iStock? |

Not true at all I'm afraid. Anecdotal evidence would suggest that a lot of vector contributors are similarly affected, and vectors don't even have the benefit of E+, which some photo contributors suggest is the only thing keeping their money up. One of the highest profile vector contributors, Simonox, producer of the Twitter bird, is no longer exclusive here, that is likely to be as a result of falling sales.
Edited to add that my sales are way down, both in dollars and downloads.

Yea, I agree. Vectors are pushed back every time BM changes. I'm uploading like crazy just to keep sales at the same level for last 5 months.
July, slightly down on June, with close to a 100 new uploades. |

Thank you johnwoodcock for bringing more light to all of us onto this matter, regarding the iStock Vector contributors in particular. |
          Posted Wed Aug 1, 2012 11:43AM | Worst Month of the Year ... 2008 levels. Plop. |

Disarster!
DL's: My worst month since my second month here at Istock in January 2006
$$: 2 EL's saved me from a total break down - but still WMTY |
