/I just noticed a price decrease for non exclusive files (P+ as well), around 20%, from XL size on. I would hope small sizes would get more expensive, just like it happened with E+ prices (some prices went down, but some went up to compensate, all that after a few price rises). I wish non exclusive prices would follow exclusive prices. And one more thing, I've noticed a huge increase in XS and S DLs in the last few days. Perhaps that's the reason for decreasing XL+ sizes.
New pricing Old pricing
1 1
4 4
7 7
10 10
12 15
15 20
18 23 (was 25 a few months ago)
It would be a good move IMO, if IS would increase prices for the P+ collection, tie it to the exclusive prices (so an XS file would cost 4 credits, no price decrease for XL+ etc)
ETA as you can see the new/old prices comparison is all messed up, since the figures get thrown together. I hope you get the idea

Posted Thu Aug 2, 2012 12:54PM | This is going to make exclusive content look less appealing, at least in the financial sense. |

is IS asking people to skip Exclusive images?

How so? Buyers given a choice between similar items will buy something that's cheaper won't they? |

No. Not necessarily. |

No. Not necessarily.
Then one has to wonder why we would lower the price. |

If they want a non exclusive image even cheaper, it's easy enough to find it elsewhere. |

Maliketh: I meant for contributors, not buyers. You just can't make up that much in volume IMO to make it up for lower royalties, which leads to sjlocke's post, good point. The bottom line was I wished non exclusive prices stayed the same and P+ went up. But since I'm thinking about exclusivity (I still have to wait for the lock-in period to end at one of the agencies) and it won't matter then, well if it stays like that, I think I'd really be better off if I became exclusive (I guess they've hit the sweetspot with E+ prices as well) |
Posted Mon Aug 13, 2012 12:37AM | the problem is that if you are not exclusive you will also eventually become exclusove where your income is higher, which is not necessarily where you have your P+ files |
 Posted Mon Aug 13, 2012 6:31PM | I don't really understand what you're trying to say... |
Posted Tue Aug 14, 2012 1:33AM | That non exclusives might eventually become exclusive, but they have a choice of different sites, and if they make more revenue on one of them before taking exclusivity, it will probably become the site of choice. |

I agree, it's also why contributor need to make unique file. 1 month ago i decide to move one of my good selling file to E+ and it stop selling, not only because of the higher price but specially because there are similar files cheaper on IS. My other E+ files continue to sell very well cause there are unique. |
Posted Tue Aug 14, 2012 9:07AM | Indeed. Your chalkboard images sure are unique and good as well |
  Posted Tue Aug 14, 2012 11:27AM | hope can be exclusive+ soon

They are easily duplicated in any part of the world. Much like 3d images of letters and words and graphs. That's not the kind of thing I would make E+. |
Posted Tue Aug 14, 2012 12:04PM | In March IS has varied prices on exclusive and non-exclusive files. I was happy that my non-ex cheaper files will be more competitive. But I was wrong, because my files has landed at the end of BM and finally my sales are much worse. |
Posted Fri Aug 17, 2012 4:30PM | It is simply pathetic. I just made an 8 cents sale. IMO it degrades the photographer work. |
