Posted Tue Sep 4, 2012 10:55PM | We've introduced a new way to pay for iStockphoto customers. Every file now has a price in dollars or local currency in addition to a price in credits. That means customers can now add files directly to their shopping cart and pay for them with a credit card, without first needing to purchase credits.
The main new features launched today are:
– An all-new shopping cart that accepts files, not credit packs.
– Simplified one-page checkout.
– Detailed receipts for each purchase.
– Credit packs are still available for frequent downloaders, and we've introduced new larger credit pack sizes for those who want to stock up.
We think these changes will make iStock easier than ever to use.

I like the changes to ease of purchasing for buyers. very very good.
would have liked a little point form notice regarding some of the bigger changes for contributors in site functionality. HQ, don't you love us anymore?

Posted Tue Sep 4, 2012 11:26PM | Hey guys. Nice functionality, and the updated interface is really easy to use. Great work! |

Posted Tue Sep 4, 2012 11:50PM | The site looks really good - one small problem though (unless I have missed something) - the "add to lightbox" function seems to be missing... |
Posted Wed Sep 5, 2012 12:00AM | Looks good! Great!
Btw, what is the drop down menu "metadata" in the product page? In my case shows always "name and value". Seems something went wrong or is a functionality for the future? |
  Posted Wed Sep 5, 2012 12:03AM | Hmmm... yes - what's that metadata menu about? |

Looking good.
Seem to have lost the ability to add images to a lightbox though...

    Posted Wed Sep 5, 2012 12:45AM | Multi-Seat (unlimited) - 100 credits or $170.00
Unlimited Reproduction / Print Runs - 150 credits or $245.00
Electronic Items for Resale (unlimited run) - 150 credits or $125.00
Extended Legal Guarantee covers up to $250,000 - 100 credits or $170.00
Question: Why "Electronic Items for Resale" costs 125$, not 245$

Posted Wed Sep 5, 2012 1:07AM | if you downloaded the file in the last 24 hours the price is zero.
Or maybe you have it in the cart?

Posted Wed Sep 5, 2012 1:15AM | If I select the Xsmall format the "Add to Card button" changes into the "Download This Photo" button. When I click the Download This Photo button I get the CONTENT LICENSE AGREEMENT, I click the Accept Agreement & Start Download button and it starts downloading.
I have done this 2 times now and my balance is not affected, nothing was added to the cart
Same with IE or Firefox.

It's showing the price for me - it looks like you've bought this file before at that size - which is why it's allowing you to download it again as a repeat. |
      Posted Wed Sep 5, 2012 2:00AM | I can live with that.
