I just looked at the corrected version, and don't see much wrong with image quality.

Regarding composition, though, it is very busy. I would pitch this as 'things thrown up on the beach', to match the somewhat haphazard subject matter.

It looks a bit flat to me, the contrast seems very low for a more-or less sunny day shot. There is still scope for a bit of an s shape curves adjustment to increase mid tone brightness and overall contrast.
It seems quite smoothed in some areas as though you have used a lot of NR.
I find the composition less than compelling - it's a"vaguely interesting detail spotted whilst wandering around" rather than a "well composed and lit stock photo with a clear concept" for me.

That's my biggest issue with it too. If it was shown from the side of the jetty or whatever it is, maybe the subject would have been clearer, but this seems like you are too on top of the subject to really see what's going on.
