Posted Fri Sep 14, 2012 12:05AM | My site is psychology based and I'm always looking for creative (and often humorous) images. However! If you do a search on iStockphoto for "Psychology" and narrow it to "humor," it's astonishing. I hate to say zero creativity, but try it and see what you think. Every single image is a grimacing face. How is that psychology humor? Please . . . some deeper thought. Even on Facebook I see more creativity. (Pink Freud . . . . etc.) No offense, but psychology is about human behavior, not about grimacing faces. There is a LOT of room for maneuver here. Many thanks!! |
Posted Fri Sep 14, 2012 12:10AM | (Seriously, I'm on page 8 now, and if I see one more grimacing face I am going to grimace. Psychology humor is not synonymous with raving lunatic psychotic.) |
Posted Fri Sep 14, 2012 12:40AM | Grimacing is an example of human behaviour, of course.
What sort of thing are you wanting? To me, 'psychology humour' is two random words put together, and I am only surprised that the results you are getting are so similar. |
Posted Fri Sep 14, 2012 9:00AM | I don't think I would use the word 'psychology' when searching, to be honest. I have a client who is a psychotherapist and for her self help CDs we generally have something in mind based on the content of the CD so then we search for that. Did you have any particular condition or problem in mind? Do you want photos or illustrations? |

Interesting, I have never once used that keyword 'psychology'..... I'll have to use it more often
This guy is happy and i might add that keyword to it.

I've hesitated using the keyword "psychology" for them but there are more where this one came from. You might want to check the similars linked to this image and/or the linked "Real People Senior Citizens" lightbox. Thanks for looking.

As with the other contributors here, I'm not really sure what you are looking for. I'm thinking maybe things like people being compelled to do something when it's forbidden such as touching wet paint etc. Anyway, here's a couple for you to consider.

Posted Wed Sep 19, 2012 8:46PM | I also feel like I could possibly have images that might somehow fall into what you're looking for but am not really sure. Could you post a few images that suit your needs so we could have an idea of what you're looking for? |

Does it have to be human? What about a little anthropomorphism?
