Lobo, also, can you give us some indication of when CC sales will be properly integrated into all stats? I'm asking because if that is months off (I'm a realist), it might be worth intalling the various 3rd party tools, but if it will be before the end of October than maybe not. Thanks.

As long as they don't show up in the File downloads page, 3rd party tools can't do much... Unless I'm mistaken, apart from the Balance, there's no trace of them at the moment. I've had 4 this week and apart from one EL, it looks like none have shown up in the File downloads because none could be identified by the 3rd party scripts I use (Greasemonkey forced file downloader, Stock Performer and DM checking viewed files). If there is another way to find them please enlighten me.

I don't think it does.

It didn't for me either -- so far, nothing identifies where the extra money came from, and it's been over a week.

This GreaseMonkey tool does find them. You have to select the "Forced Search" option. Basically in Forced Search mode it opens the downloads page for every one of your files and searches if there are any downloads in the given date range. It outputs the list of files it looks at (Rows beginning with FN) and downloads (rows beginning with DL) to a window it opens. There is an accompanying Excel spreadsheet which can be used to analyse and display the data (you copy and paste into the spreadsheet as per the instructions) or if you are a bit of spreadsheet whizz you can do whatever you like with the extracted data.

One thing to be aware of is that I have had at least three examples in the past week where a credit card sale has shown up in my account three or four days after it actually occurred. That is I received a balance update and the actual sale was marked in the image's download list as occuring three or four days ago. As such when you're doing the Forced Search it is a good idea to start your search 4 or 5 days prior to the current day if you are looking for a mystery download.

Why this 3 or 4 day lag exists is anyone's guess (given that HQ refused to comment or acknowledge anything at the moment), but I suspect it is some sort of fraud prevention measure - or rather a measure from iStock to stop them having to claw back money from fraudulent purchases by not actually paying contributors until the credit card purchase has been confirmed.

It is worth commenting that the more people using nullplus' app and my script the worse it is for the iStock servers because for a full refresh the user has to do thousands of server calls. Each refresh is the equivalent of about 100 normal users for the period it is running which if you have enough people doing it are going to pound the iStock servers mercilously. Then again, if iStock pulled it's proverbial fingers out and actually provided the data themselves, it wouldn't be necessary to use scripts and external apps to get it. Quite frankly it is ridiculous that iStock can't provide a list to the contributor of all the sales they made in a given time period. Contributors have only been asking for this functionality since about 2005 via the suggestions forum.

That was my problem -- I hadn't checked "Forced Search".   Found it.     Thank you!  So glad there are people here that are generous of their time and effort and knowledge to give us work-arounds to these bugs.

35 minutes until today finishes in Calgary. I'm guessing this is another missed "something". I know it's not really your fault Lobo, it has to be frustrating for you dealing with both sides.

It does. It doesn't separate credit sales from CC sales, but it very easy to find out the CC sales amount by substracting the totals in our profile page (without CC) from totals in this software (with CC).

The only "bug" (iStock's fault) is that all Getty and PP sales are on today's date, but this is due to wrong data on istock's image pages. To me it seems pretty reliable.

Perhaps iStock should open a new 'Ultra Ultra Fabulous Premium' Collection. One selling excuses, dithering methods, stalling tactics and the like. They must have amassed quite a substantial portfolio in the last couple of years.

WOW!!! Not even a "nothing to add" answer, and you wonder why we don't have faith in iStock.

Very disappointed with this and the no answer in the RC thread which was promised as well by the end of this week, October 5th.

So with Monday being a holiday and Tuedsay the "LB Fix", Wednesday the "Fixing of the Fix" we might get another false promise next Thursday or Friday.

This is just plain ridiculous.

I think we'd all love to see it fixed and working properly. If there was something we could do as contributors, I'm sure like you, we'd be up for doing it.

Main problem is lack of communication from HQ - it's ALWAYS been a problem, and all it leads to is speculation and a lot of disgruntled people. I think that something HQ could learn from here is to get the PR side if IS sorted out. Bruce would have been in the forums ages ago with a personal (even if not written by him) statement.

You can't bury your head in the sand and wait for all the people you've (HQ) made angry to go away - afterall, we as contributors have made IS what it is (well, used to be).

I'd just like this fixed so I can start uploading and selling again...

Yes, it is, especially when our livelihood is at stake. It's so frustrating to be given the silent treatment without a clue as to what progress iis being made,if any. iStock has been silent about all of the issues and concerns brought up in this forum.

If it drags out another week before anything is changed, then that's another week of lost sales in what is supposed to be our best selling month. There aren't too many left folks. And when all is finally fixed in the future, I'm sure a lot of us (myself included) will be looking at a reduced level of commission for 2013 due to this debacle.

The lack of communication by HQ is quite frankly beyond belief. If the IT guys cannot fix the site easily then admit it and say so. There is nothing wrong in coming clean, in fact you might even get some sympathy! Everyone wants to see iStock out of this mess asap but I can't help feeling from the comments above that a large amount of trust is slipping away because of the silence.
