All I know is since the update, sales have tanked, to my worst month ever here since I started 4 years ago. Everytime there's been an update it effects our sales, downward. Now there almost non exsistant. Come on HQ get a clue.... Your making things worse not better!!!

Idea for adding direct credit card sales is great. But the fact that it causes one of the best features of iStock, zoom, to be broken for weeks is unfortunate. Especially because the reason and priority of fixing it is not communicated to buyers. They don't read these forums, they have work to do. Buyers only see that there's no longer zoom and propably get pissed off. When any site loses important functionality, users get frustrated.

The sales also seem to reflect that, this is worse than any of the summer months when normally sales start to pick up in September after the slowdown.

Retail websites with shopping carts is hardly something new. Adding credit card / PayPal flexibility would be a snap of the fingers for any large company, but here we are with a host of new problems. How much more are customers expected to put up with? The problem is clearly with the IT department, and from the long string of past foul-ups it seems as if the management don't have the ability to sort the issue. I've no idea what the HQ at Calgary is like, but from this end of the telescope it feels like hippies in charge. A small team of outside managers should have been brought in two foul-ups ago..

Two weeks since the update and things are still not working. How long does it take exactly?

John, I was just looking at my sales and came here to see what was happening and ask the same question.

How long does it take to get things back to normal?

Really I can not understand why it is so difficult to restore the state of things in the position before the update. The sale is a disastrous fall and the company will permanently lose many customers.

I am surprised that anyone ever buys photos that can not be zoomed.

Direct sale introduced - lightboxes and zoom gone. It's like you've bought a new fridge, just to find out that you're no longer able to change volume at your stereo, because of that.

I've never noticed that any other website would do this kind of thing to it's customers. And I consider myself a person who uses quite many different online services. If adding a feature means losing another crucial one, what's the point? You (and we) probably lose more than gain, the credit using high volume buyers are the ones noticing the missing features and leaving. There's tough competition in the microstock market and a customer once lost is very difficult to get back.

I have been seeing sales pickup in September for last two years. This year I think it is due to the recent site upgrade and lost functinality ligke Zoom and add to light box features, buys are moving away. I was hoping on strong performance in the last 4 months to get to next RC level but things are not looking good. Wakeup Istock!

It is really surprising that a company which rotatable so much money can not hire a capable administrator who can solve the problem in the short term.

I don't think there can be any doubt that we are ALL losing out on sales from this Yet another fiasco. I barley made the 35% last year and was hoping to keep it in 2013 but I feel this is handicapping me (all of us). I hope (not holding my breath) the HQ would at least have the decencey to make an ajustment on the RC Targets to offset the lost sales and RCs since the "improvment" of the site.

This is the first time I have ever seen a company perform an "upgrade" which would knowingly take down critical features for a prolonged period of time. Especially when those features are used by and are important to the buyers.

The question is: when all the upgrades are up and running as they were supposed to, will our downloads increase or at least be back where they were before the upgrade?
Just another thought, for us exclusive contributors, and some of us like me whose Istock income is the only one is just not fair, to say the least.

At least for me I know why my sales stoped and why istock said in its contributor news letter they see growing revenue. My main sales are from my Chinese portfolio. Since the update, when I look for matching keywords, 3 /4 of the BM is on Agency files from Getty!.  No wonder nothing else is selling....
