As some of you may know, I work in the higher education sector. One of the big changes occurring, currently, are MOOCs (massive online open courses). What this means, as it is still experimental and additional meanings will evolve, that you can get a higher education for free. Some of the world's best institutions are offering their best units/modules and some credentialing is also available, which means that in addition to learning something you can add your credits to your portfolio/CV. Over time there is a view that these credits will lead to conversions towards part qualifications and or entry into university at a particular level. Any way it;'s all up for grabs.
My news for you is that coursera has had Berklee College of Music join this week. There are some fabulous courses available for free.
Be aware that tens of thousands of people enrol and so, you won't get one-to-one support but you will get access to the best educational direction. And as many of you may know BCM is a renowned institution.

Very interesting. The quality of these courses is very appreciable. Technology, analysis of language, culture contaminations...Nothing of this in Italy. Good luck! It' a beautiful and great work!
