Client follow ups?

This may be for the "Off-Topic" section, but if you are doing work outside of Istock what do you do once payment has been made as far as follow ups? Do you mail out thank you cards, e-mail, call, etc.?

Once the final payment has been made I send a nice email note, and try to include a couple of tips on how to make their current project a success/how to possibly make their next project more marketable. Then I finish with "if there's anything I can help you with in the future, please let me know"--I have quite a few repeat customers. I also have a bunch of experience in PR/Advertising. Most years I send Christmas cards with one of my photos, but I was too busy to do that last year.
