FWIW, when I view Sean's Porfolio the last couple pages are all Agency files, I have not looked for similars yet, but here are a couple screen captures.Sort by BM and 200 per page

Do you think there may be a database problem somewhere?  Or is that stating the obvious.

Okay and here is an interesting thing to note.
I got on to my second desktop, hooked up to our secondary internet line (we have cable and DSL) and connected to iStock to view Sean's portfolio while NOT logged in to the site.  Totally different results - and the odd thing is that I can not find his Vetta or Agency photos at the front or the rear of the search, only regular collection files - hence no screenshot for the last page of the search.  (Sorry Sean... I didn't wade through all 63 pages there hahaha)

Hey Kelvin, when will the site index run again?  I'm happy to report back after it has run to see if any results have changed.

Also, in regards to a cache issue - it's not that.  I cleared my cache, and also re-started my modem and gave it a hard re-boot just to be double sure that all caches were completely clear and fresh.

The index usually runs every 24hrs but I am not sure exactly what time it is next running though. When I said cache I was referring to the server cache, not the cache on a user's PC. They may have just had to fashion a solution to fix the earlier issue and this may be a temporary product of it. Anyway, I've reported it and we will see how things look after the next index, which generally re jigs all the search results.

Sean's port doesn't look normal to me. Last page is all Vetta and so are countless pages going backwards. And I do see duplicates. Number of pages start with image 12774772 Airplane: Cheerful Crew

The index has been happening at 7am GMT recently, it hasn't happened today though for some reason.

Yep, my portfolio is still repeating so I guess I'm missing 4000 images from my port. Hopefully they are all showing up in regular searches.

Someone needs to fix this today. Manually push the index button. I don't care how.

Whatever is going on with the search maybe explains why I've only sold images from 2007-2008 over the last 5 days. Something is definitely screwy.

Yep, I agree something is very wrong.  All was good until 9AM MDT (Calgary) Monday morning and then things shutdown.

I am seeing the same with Sean's port as yesterday. The Indexing does not seem to have run last night as johnwoodcock pointed out.

/I checked Kcline portfolio 1st page and with my usual 50 results per page I see exactly the same order as Kelvin'screeshot (with lots of agency and vetta). But if I change to get 200 results per page I have a totallly different result from both of you.


I'm also not able to go after page 3 of my port, I get  "

ETA: now it seems I can again.

Looking at Kellys port in best match initially set at 200 images I get a varied selection, if I then change it to view 50 it seems to go to newest first but still says best match. Returning to her port later with it still set at 50 it correctly shows a varied best match - resetting that to 200 images it orders in newest first again though still shows as best match.


It seems resetting the views number whilst actively searching re-sets the order to newest first. I repeated this on my own port and got the same result.


 


Five minutes later that behaviour is not now repeatable
