Hi every one, Im quite new to flash, I am creating a file with falling lovehearts, and am making each heart a movieclip, with its
own path, should I have them on separate layers.... the file is looking messy with so many layers?
many thanks any tips appreciated!

Yes, I would do the hearts on separate layers and then pack the layers in a folder called "hearts" for example. The files we worked with contained loads of layers and symbols so we orginized them in folders. It`s not messy and it`s easier to change animation. One of the reasons for example is that if you have lot of different symbols on a single layer you can`t make a tween to all of them - they need to be separated on layers or should be made into one new symbol. I don`t know if I manage to explain it well.

I agree with evelade. Keep everything as symbols on organised layers and folders. its good practise for complicated stuff, if you need to change something it will be easier.
I am still submitting flash files to IS.
