Need candid family shots

I'd like to see more family photos where they aren't so posed and looking straight into the camera. If they're sitting in a group, that's fine, but can they be looking off to the side or up or somewhere other that right at me? The pseudo-portrait styles just don't ever suit my needs. It doesn't matter the family make-up, clothing, ethinicity, etc. just so they don't look so posed. And when pets are included, all the more reason to be more candid. Not action shots of them running on the beach necessarily; just something more natural. Thanks.

I have a bunch of generally unposed senior citizens in family situations if you are interested in an older family.

by family you mean parents and kids all together in one shot?

Thanks all ... there are some good possibilities here. We do a lot of work with veterinary clinics, so a postcard- or brochure-quality shot is always at a premium, but they usually want something that looks casual, but not too casual (not looking at the camera); smiling and looking lovingly at their pets (or kids, as the case may be).


Slobo: I live in midwest U.S., so by "family", my clients are generally looking for parents, kids and pets in one shot; multi-generational is a plus.
