Hello folks,

I am considering a new tripod & head with which I can also shoot video with my DSLR, next to stills. I want to do panning and tilting. I came across this 055 head of Manfrotto which was announced a year ago. Does anybody have experience with the video functionality of this head?

Further if you have used it what kind of a tripod would you recommend to combine with this head? I would like to have a steady, solid tripod.

Any comment is welcome. Thank you!

I'm using a Manfrotto 501HDV on a #055CXPRO3 tripod for using 600mm/4.0L_IS on 5DMII OUTDOORS & a 701RC2 head for smaller lenses on 5DMII for INDOOR work. Not aware if there is anything like a 055 photo-movie head.
