I would like contributers to be able to upload content direct to there portfolios without going through the tedious and expensive,for Istockphoto, inspection process.
Said content could be earmarked accordingly to tell our buyers it has not gone through normal quality control and this content also sold at a lower price point.
I feel that there are many 1000's of our files just sitting on our hard drives which could be of use to designers which slightly lack the expected quality asscociated with Istockphoto.
You could limit the quota each contributor uploads into the new collection and cull it yearly to remove non sellers.

   Posted Tue Nov 13, 2012 1:41PM | No offense shank but that would probably be a disaster. No need to fill the search with (probably) low quality content. It's in iStock's best interest to have the best quality images possible. If I were a buyer I wouldn't want to sift through thousands of "maybe-good-quality" cheap images to find a good one that suits my needs. |
