DIGITAL RELEASES FOR AUDIO

Ok guys, Istock accepts digital releases from several programs and that's ok for video/photo side of things but what's with audio? 


Should we add extra fields? We are composers/sound designers etc... and there's no fields for that. Just photographer/videographer... 


Can we at least use it for sound design and compositions done by ourselves?

Nope, can't. Our requirements are different than photo, therefore the current solutions do not incorperate our needs. For example PRO information.

Yes but you can add custom fields and say we add everything that is on the regular talent release? 


If Istock as a company finaly accepted something that's been arround for almost a decade, a electronic signature, shouldn't everyone, including istockaudio, start accepting them??? Cause it says -

We can add "custom fields", the ones that are on the "printed talent release" and make it the same... Just what you need and want so you can accept our files. Or if it's different than the one you created, (the sample you should create with some of these programs and the one we would follow) then you reject the file! 


Its miles ahead of the current system and it you are not going to use it and start accepting it then CHANGE THE MAIN TEXT OF THE ARTICLE... it's a bit confusing... 


And I don't see why so hard to set a standard - do this like this and we will accept, get it wrong it'll be rejected...

I will take a closer look. There are some consideration such as being able to properly redact, and send information to PRO's in a format that they will accept. I too would like this, maybe I was too quick to brush this off. 


Give me a week or two and I will come back with a more concrete answer.

I'm totally confused and have been going round and round with someone trying to be helpful from support, but now that I got the how to do it, I'm still baffled.

How do I create a Property Release for a Public Domain composition?

What I didn't understand at first was, I have been requested to upload a Talent Release and then also a Property Release. The way to do it, was create one JPG image file, with both in it. I kept missing the how to upload two releases with one composition.

So now I have a Property Release which says things like video and image, no problem I changed it to AUDIO in big letters where it says, include photo and all that.

Here's what I need to know.

How do I fill out a Property Release for a Public Domain Song?

And if all I need is a talent release, which the forum messages seem to indicate, how do I fill that out properly, so I don't get the request for a Property Release.

Anyone have a link to an acceptable release COMPLETED?

Thanks for nay help, I'm lost and the latest uploads are now in executive review after the third time I submitted them, with different descriptions and forms and releases.

I'd like to just get it right, so I can start uploading.

ps one that was refused was All the Blue Bonnets, which I listed as 1754 traditional folk music. And the reviewer asked for copyright information. LOL So you can see, I'm doing something wrong.

All you need to do is notify us on the TALENT release of some online information on the compositions public domain status. You can put this anywhere on the release.
