Model release for newcomers?

Why I haven't been asked for model release while submiting my photos to become a contributor for the first time?

Applications don't get judged by the same standards as regular submissions, you can have logos visible and don't need a model release etc. Application images don't need releases as they're not been inspected with a view to accepting them at iStock, they're just being used to assess your capabilities. If you get accepted, you can submit them for proper inspection, but don't be surprised if they get rejected.
