Hi,

I'm working on a small puzzle game app for iPhone and need some background music.

Will I need to buy an Extended License?

Hi
my guess would be no, but you'd better trust some official words from audio admins

Depends - I sale of a game/app would equal 1 use/impression. The licence states that a single project can have up to 2000 uses if the game/app is NOT free and up to 50,000 if the game/app is free.

There are a few things you can do if you go over the number of uses. You can purchase the file again to get another 2000/50,000 uses, or you can purchase an extended licence.

Please note that the audio extended licence that is on the site is for indemnification coverage only. If you want a licence for more uses then please create a support ticket and outline your situation. All unlimited use extended licences must be done manually for audio.
