More I sell the less I get?

Its appears the more images that sell the less I get... Why is the amount I receive going down?

What don't you get? Royalties are based on what the buyer pays for credits, the price of which can go down to $.46 at times.

Ok calm down... what about down to $0.08? I thought $0.20 was low but surely 0.08 is worse... Is it even worth my time or effort?

Only you know what your time and effort is worth to you. We can't answer that question.

Regarding your other statements, you seem to be confusing the amount a contributor receives with the amount paid per credit, which is what Sean was referring to.

To clarify - client pays anywhere between $.46 and $1.50ish per credit. They use that credit to buy your Xsmall file - you get your percentage of that $$$ amount. You will receive different amounts with each download, depending on the price the buyer paid.  15% of $.46 is $.07, 15% of $1.50 is $.22. Larger files cost more credits and you will receive more, but it will still always vary.

I've had $0.07 files, yes, pathetic, but it won't change. So work hard, get 250dls, over 50% acceptance rate and there you go - 4 credits for exclusive XS files [if not Value collections, which is way lower] = 4x$0.46 [as suggested by the fairone]x0.25 [4x/4 cancells out] = $0.46 is the lowest you can get [in theory, bare in mind that Value collections, though that would be too early for you to have any files over there]
0.07 is there to make you work so you do not have to see it again.

I still feel this system if flawed and has its problems. It appears istockphoto only benfits exclusive photographers now...
