I haven't uploaded any new video here for 18-months or so.  I am not exclusive and as I have been uploading videos elsewhere.  The more I use other outlets, with their easy and fast uploading / approval, the more I became frustrtated with the clunky and burdensome upload system inplace here at Istock.  To say nothing of the extended review times.  I just gave up.  I have some new content, so I'm wondering if things have changed here regarding the process, or are things pretty much the same as they have been?  It does appear that Istock has raised the prices of video downloads since the last time I checked, when did that happen, and how has that been received?

The following is the response received from CR .

< Unfortunately the video queue is exceptionally long, and can take up to 10 weeks or in some cases more time to review all files submitted.>

I remain amazed that things have not improved.  Clearly this is not rocket science, as other sites make the process so easy and fast.  I just don't get it.  I thought in time things would improve.  I guess I haven't been missing anything by not contributing.

I've actually stopped uploading new content to iStock for this very reason.  They don't offer enough of a difference in terms of better marketing /sales platform than the easier to use options out there.  I actually only checked in here to see if they've improved at all.  I stopped bothering with iStock when it took 6 months to get some of my clips reviewed. I've got literally thousands of clips that I've processed but it's so much easier to deal with them on other sites.

I don't want to jump the gun on anything but I believe efforts are being made behind the scenes to get things better on the upload side and get a streamlined experience.

Does that mean they are going to stop this folder and rename thing? That in itself if a huge waste of time. I still upload here but only when I have extra time.

Pretty much everything about this upload process drives me nuts.
