what about the redeemed credit retro payments from 2011 that have never been paid because it was "too complicated" to process???

I reached my new level only about one week ago. Perhaps this is why I haven't received any email from istock?

Thanks for the hard work guys ! Got the money and the email. Christmas time coming up. Well done. My kids gonna be delighted.

Btw, tell the CFO to think about compensation and calculate corresponding interests. Thanks ! Tell him just to see his face, I am sure he is aware about what business is about. Even though I'm kidding. Contributors are creative and dreamers, not business sharks. (I'm a dreamer

All the best to all of you.

Did you reach the next level before Oct 17th? If not you will not see an email or retro payment

@ Berc, as far as I can tell they have not been included in the stats. I am assuming it will be a line item on the CSV at the end of the month.

Of course not, that's one of numerous illogical things about their accounting.

No. The retro payment dollars are not reflected in (at least my) monthly stats/graphs. I haven't been in this situation before, but I'd expect Charlie's assumption is most likely what will happen to close it out.

Not to argue , but many companies do "lump sum accounting" for all sorts of adjustments that need to be made for all manner of "prior periods" and "prior activities". Just saying.

So, how do the folks that reached a new level AFTER Oct 17 get their bump up the ladder?  Contact CR, make noise in the forums, or is it suppose to now be automatic?

Aren't we still owed back payments from January of this year for an incorrect royalty % bug?

(Edited on 2012-11-28 16:47:27 by traveler1116)

Yes they do - and despite MANY emails back and forth about that, I still have nothing but blatantly incorrect calculations

Traveler116 was actually mistaken, and I assume you are also mistaken. So if you could be so kind as to make sure you contact the folks in Contributor Relations they should be able to sort you out. It seems like they have been able to accommodate everyone else so I can't see how they couldn't help you.

Hi Lobo, not sure who is missing what here but as far as I remember, the last official word about this was in June in the iStockHQ update (http://www.istockphoto.com/forum_messages.php?threadid=344957&page=1) where it says that the royalty adjustment happened on June 22 but was reversed as it was erroneous.

As far as I remember, we never heard any news after that. So from what I see, we are still owed those royalties eventually. I don't think Contributor Relations is going to help single contributors in this aspect, are they?

Plus the stuff from the other day.

I think you're talking about different problems here.

I'm not convinced I was actually mistaken, I just don't have enough info in front of me.  My recollection is like that of MichaelJay and we have not been given the correct amount.  What I was told by support was that I actually never had money taken out of my account (I was given the incorrect amount in the first place so if no money was taken out and adjusted then I assume I still have the incorrect amount), I seem to remember that I did but with the lack of transparency around these issues it's very time consuming and difficult to figure out what actually happened so many months ago.

I was also told my payment occured in April although from the link MichaelJay provided the payments didn't happen until June.

2012-04-19 15:43:10 | Adjust Balance $1.4200 | Royalty % Drop – (Jan 1 – 4 2012)

Here is the adjustment performed on your account. The funds were added on the 19th of June cough, April. It was resolved.

I'm sorry that this has all been so confusing for everyone and that in spite of our best efforts things aren't always entirely clear. So folks, if you are still unsure please contact Contributor Relations.

Ah I found those emails there was one on April 19th like you say for $1.42 but the amount of adjustment on those was wrong.  I also have an email from from the 22nd of June covering those same files plus more.  I seem to remember that payment getting reversed like the what the link MichaelJay posted says and never recieving anything after that.  If there is only a payment for $1.42 on record then something is clearly wrong, I'd be happy to forward those emails to you if you need them.  Here is what the email said on June 25 although support told me nothing had ever been removed:

We have run a script that should have paid out your 2012 Redeemed Credit royalty rate from Jan 1 to Jan 4, 2012 to rectify the royalty change that occurred at that time. Unfortunately this script was processed incorrectly, inaccurate payment and information were sent via e-mail to those affected. We will be removing the incorrect payments made (today - June 22, 2012) and will insure the correct amounts are sent out as soon as possible.

    Total Amount Removed: $xxxx.

We apologize profusely for this inconvenience. If you have any further questions please contact Contributor Relations.

It should be noted that the process was stopped before it got to far along so not all transactions were effected. The adjustment your are referring to wasn't wrong. It was entirely right. Your payment wasn't reversed as I recall asking them to complete yours manually when the processes was halted. So yours is done. It is, it's not half done, it's all done.

So, for the remaining folks who aren't sure. Please feel free to contact Contributor Relations directly.
