November Sales Thread

For me, November was probably around 40% below where I thought I would be based on pre-September expectations. It was also a little worse than October too. Very sobering... How was your November folks?

I have to go back to 2009 to find a more woeful number of downloads. 2009. On a plus side it was up a tiny bit from last month, though that's not saying much. Long and short of it, November was a stinker.


Somebody somewhere should stand up and take a bow.

fact:I had more downloads in June,July and August thanSept,Oct and November.I dont have much confidence things will change much heading into the new year......

November 2012, royalties still 25% above november 2011, but less than august this year, less than october. I am disapppointed.

Horrible month! November is normally ok, but this was the worst of the year. Income 25% down on Nov 2011 despite 20% portfolio increase and royalty rate going up. Only slither of hope is that E+ files on Getty come good this month. 

Can´t say much more.

I have done better. It was hard to beat Oct-12 because the was my second BME. The last week saved the month.

I had flat months this autumn, not so bad in royalties (3rd BME), but compared to last year I had -25% in DLs. And with this trend, my Jan and Feb months will be disastrous.

Absolutely horrible. I have to go back to 2007 (that's right - 2007) to see downloads at such a low, and to late 2009 for a comparable low on royalties.

That would be great news... IF it wasn't Oct/Nov 2011 when I had my sales crash. My old files are now making about 25% of what they did 15 months ago, I am only saved by loads of new images which picked up a good number of downloads.


In the end, I am having doubled my portfolio within the last two years but my earnings are about half of what they were in 2010. Still disappointing.

WMOTY which historically has been the BMOTY.


By setting my best month this year as the 100% benchmark, this graph shows the other months in relation to that. The decline is clearly illustrated.



Edit to add: When comparing downloads, Nov was at 35.6% of the best month (Feb).

The first three weeks were good, the last week poor. On the whole, my portfolio's recovery continues after the mid-year disaster.

Actually, November turned out to be not too horrible. August to November earning for me have been within a few dollars.
