Misery loves Company!!
Good news, November 2012 was ahead of November $$$ by 12% even though I increased port by 55%
Bad news November 2012 was WMOTY. Thanksgiving week sales were so bad they were almost non existant. I'm wondering what kind of an impact Super Storm Sandy had on our customer base. Perhaps we'll all get early Christmas presents this month in the form of robust sales. Just wishin'

Posted Sat Dec 1, 2012 8:45AM | Worst month for dl's in 2.5 years. Would have been my worst month for $$ since exclusive had it not been for a couple Vetta sales.
Glad to see others did better. But for me, it killed my entire year. |
Posted Sat Dec 1, 2012 8:48AM | Third WMTY in $$$. As other's have experienced, an end of year slump. |
Posted Sat Dec 1, 2012 8:51AM | Bad month but December will be even much worse. |
Posted Sat Dec 1, 2012 8:53AM | November royalties down 20% over 2011, but the real concern for me is that since August 29th I have had 20 images approved & only 9 views on those images - in 3 months vs 1,210 views on just one other site alone for same images!!! Views just tanked after that date! I don't follow forums much, but there must have been a change in the way IS does things on that date...???!!! |

After a bad September/ October, November bounced back for me and was my BME for $ by a long way.
Compared to Nov 2011 (my previous BME) DL-38.5% $+29%
Compared to October 2012 DL +27% $+60%
Somehow the hecked up BM worked in my favour. Looking at this sales thread I feel very lucky to have bucked the overall trend,at least for November.

Posted Sat Dec 1, 2012 9:13AM | WMOTY for me... Even worst than october and september. Downloads and sales are going down while my portfolio is increasing. This is very upsetting. |
Posted Sat Dec 1, 2012 9:15AM | Only my 4th month of exclusivity with a small port so not statistically significant but Nov was by far and away my BME. Thanks, in large part, to my winter-based nature images. |

I didn't have this few downloads since December of 2006. That was 70 months ago and I was Bronze level.
Royalties are marginally better than this September which was worse in 3 years.
Last week of the month showed some life.
Compared to Nov 2011: DL - down 40%, Royalties - down 20%.
Compared to BME: DL - down 69%, Royalties down - 48%

Compared to Nov. 2012, $$ down 11% and downloads down 26%. Earnings began dropping this past September.

A bit disapointing, especially considering a royality level bump.
vs. October 2012: Revenue -12% DLs -2% ULs +2%
vs. November 2011: Revenue +844% DLs +346% ULs +105%

Compared to Nov 2011- dls and $$ down 47% after an increase in my portfolio of about 24%. |

Added almost 500 images this year (still fairly small port):
Compared to October 2012: dl down 14% $$ down 10%
Compared to November 2011: dl down 19% $$ up 16% (2 big ELS plus I am at a higher royalty rate this year)
No E+ GI sales (only had 19 at Getty for the month of November)

            Posted Sat Dec 1, 2012 10:03AM | Same as last year,I'll take that |
  Posted Sat Dec 1, 2012 10:24AM | Interesting Month.
November sales were 26% below my average sales for 2012 and 13% below November 2011. September 2012 was my worst month YTD. November was up 11% over September and up 7% over October. Sales came in stronger at the end of November.
On a purely anecdotal basis, the end of the November started behaving like pre-September activity in terms of sales patterns unique to my portfolio. Just an unscientific feeling that also coincides with the reporting issue being seemingly fixed. |
   Posted Sat Dec 1, 2012 10:41AM | Fair to middlin. |
Posted Sat Dec 1, 2012 10:48AM | Improving but stil disapointing, uploaded a lot of images.

Posted Sat Dec 1, 2012 10:55AM | November was not very good but not horrible. Tough to compare last three months $$ to last year $$ - or to each other - because my commission increase achieved on September 1st was delayed, then was fixed going forward on Oct 17, and then the retro payment was made at the end of November.
Specifics. November DLs down about 15% from 2012 monthly average. November RCs down about 30% from 2012 monthly average - wholly attributable IMO to about 40% of November sales being first timers. Good news/bad news there. Consistent uploading keeps many candidates available for first download. But since I rarely put brand new files at E+, the result was that only 20% of my sales in November were at E+. Versus 43% of all sales January through October having been at E+.
First December sale this morning was an E+ Medium - one of my best sellers of this year. Maybe things are looking up.

Posted Sat Dec 1, 2012 11:01AM | Another good month for me downloads staying pretty constant but nice increase in royalties I think largely due to E+. Also GI sales have been a nice boost |

5th pathetic month in a row. Sale quickly dropping, Istock quickly becoming a huge disapointment. Too bad HQ doesnt see the big picture (pun intended). The fewer the sales, the less money HQ makes to line their personal pockets.
