The image below, of old Burmese notes for sale on a sidewalk stand in Yangon, was rejected for: "This file includes content that may be subject to copyright or trademark protection. Certain use of this file creates risk of copyright/trademark infringement and we regret that it cannot be accepted, unless this content is removed from the file."
I thought it might be rejected for the notes being flat, but hoped that the imperfect plastic in which the notes are stored, in addition to the small size of individual notes, would rule that out.
While it wasn't rejected for that, it was rejected for the risk of infringement, and without more explanation I'm not sure what this means given numerous examples of other foreign currency being accepted. Any help in understanding this better is appreciated as I plan to upload more currency images in the coming weeks. (I understand there are issues involving the Canadian Mint, etc, but I don't know of any issues regarding Burmese currency, not least old currency.)
