File 21194354 gives 503 error.

Also many other video files.

(Edited on 2012-12-11 04:02:33 by anchev)

Hi,

Thanks for reporting this. I see that file is affected but have checked through quite a few others uploaded in the same batch and they seemed to display ok. If you could let me know any other affected file numbers, that would be very helpful.

Thanks.

New Zoom functionality: 1. High aspect ratio images (e.g. panoramas) barely zoom and the interface just feels weird

                                  2. Cannot zoom in to 1:1 or 100% on standard aspect ration images.

Kelvin, I saw your response to another member talking about inability to zoom to 100% and you said the old zoom worked this way also. My memory is not perfect, but my recollection was that you could zoom to 100% or at least to a greater degree than the new zoom. What is the official statement about max zoom capability between the "old" zoom and the new implementation?

Hi,

The previous version of zoom did not allow a zoom to 100%, the maximum zoom was something close to 95%. I recall comparing screen grabs to my own full size files when a couple of threads were asking about it a few years back.

If you have any questions about the new zoom, I'd encourage you to ask them in the thread discussing it in the Discussion forum here:

The Return of Zoom

Regarding the issue with panoramas, that too has been acknowledged in the above thread here:

Pano issue

Thanks.

^ Okay, I can believe 95%. I'll take it over to the zoom thread.

A few updates:

Partner Program opt in not sitcking. This should be corrected now and hopefully everyone read the newsletter and went in to review their preferences. Any choices you make now will stick permanently.

Resubmitted images losing their model releases. This is actually a copy issue. We do require the model release to be resubmitted.

Copyright symbol incorrect on file close up pages. I have submitted a ticket and this will be corrected.

Files showing billions of downloads. This is a rare occurance but we will create a script to correct these and hopefully prevent the issues from resurfacing down the road.

I am not sure if this is a bug, but I have stopped receiving confirmation emails after acceptance/rejection.

This happened to me as well today. I also missed an email. But later in the evening I received an acceptance mail. Maybe it was a temporary problem.

I've had 10 acceptances and 10 acceptance emails this week. Speaking to others, the system seems to be working as intended. If you're missing any emails, it may be that you need to double check your spam filters or folders, but this doesn't appear to be a wide spread issue.

ETA: A few more people have reported similar occurrences, so we're looking into it.

The lack of rejection emails is a known bug. We are hoping to have this fixed asap.

I have an extended license showing for the 14th December in my stats graph. If I check in the financials tab for extended licenses, nothing shows for that day. Nothing shows in livestock (android app) for that day as an extended licence. I didn't notice a jump in the balance for an extended licence. I'm wondering if it is an actual extended licence or a bug, or if it is real, has it been credited correctly. I sent a ticket CR about it.

I've contacted support about no canister change and they headed me here. But I don't see such problems on this long list. (In my case photo upload/nomination limits and photo canister should change around 6-7 weeks ago).

I can't see your exact number of downloads for either category, but I can see you do have a few illustrations with downloads. You know file types are separated now? I am personally in that situation. So, let's clarify first that you have 25,000 photo downloads and go from there.

Thank you. I'm aware of this.
Anyway support confirmed, there is an issue and it's being worked on. I'd just like to confirm here, what support confirmed. Perhaps we could add it to the list of bugs as a reference for others looking for this info.

Good luck with your milestone.

Haven't see this one recently. Sorry if it's already there (ETA - "...already on the list" I meant).

I just requested a cash out. Everything fine until the screen after "Are you sure...". Then that screen said something along the lines of "...this file is locked and can't be edited...".

My balance after the cashout is as expected, and my "Financials/Your Payout Report" now lists the cashout I just requested correctly.

I wonder whose file I just tried to give $150 to??? wink

I've mentioned this before but my report was dismissed so I just want to mention it again with the hope that is looked into.

Adding images to lightboxes is still incredibly buggy and frustrating. Half the time the pop-up box just gets frozen and I have to click on the main page to get rid of it and try and start again (not even clicking on the 'x' to close works). And then sometimes when the pop-up box does 'work' the image doesn't actually get added to the lighbox even though I get the 'Done' message. And other times I get the message 'unable to add these files to the ..... lighbox. Please check if they are already in the lightbox' even though the image is not in the lighbox and attempting the process again can finally get a 'Done' confirmation. Dealing with this clunky, incosistent interface is incredibly time consuming... I long for the days a couple of years back when adding files to lighboxes was fairly straightforwarded.

Hi,

If you tell us the specifics of your system, that makes it easier for us to check if there's any bug. I've tried FF, IE, Chrome and Safari on XP, Vista and Win7 and have not been able to reproduce the error. Also, I'm not saying that you alone are affected but we aren't seeing any widespread reporting of this. Maybe with more info from you or any others affected we will be able to see what the cause is.

It happens on Safari and Firefox. It's a heads up - been dealing with this for months and months now and just getting worse so I'm reporting it again - as I know these 'cracks' can often lead to bigger failures if they're just overlooked and not investigated. I can't imagine I'm the only one experiencing this.

In addition iStock is embarrasingly slow to navigate around this morning. Way worse than normal. I'm on several machines (from iMacs to Macbook Pros) all using Safaris or Firefox. My internet connection is fine and all other sites are as zippy as normal - just iStock dragging its feet.
