November video sales thread

Fellow video contributors, how were your video sales in November? How did you fare against a broken Best Match and other site issues?


My download count was down 21% compared to last November. In terms of $$, it was my 3rd-BME. It's hard to compare between $$ for this November and last November because I had a commission rate change part way through last November.

Down 30% from last November

Not a really reflective portfolio here but my video sales were very significantly lower than previous months of this year. Disappointed.

86 video sales in Nov 2011


65  video sales in Nov 2012         considerable difference.

120 video sales in Nov 2011, 46 video sales in Nov 2012. My Video Royalty Rate will be dropped from 35% to 30%.

If I didn't lose last three months (those are normally best months), I would be keeping 35% Royalty Rate.


Very discouraging...

I was beginning to think that nobody had any sales this past November, cuz there was no thread yet...er....I guess I wasn't too far off though. I had 95 sales in November 2010, then fell to 27 last November...and the slide continued this year - down to 24 in Nov 2012...YAY!!!! I'll race ya'll to the bottom...wahooooo!!! It's a bit beyond discouraging actually...

I had no sales at all in November. That's the second month it's happened since the buying system changed. I guess it's made it harder for a less popular contributor like me to compete, when buyers see how high the actual prices are.

Fortunately I have a small video portfolio, and don't have large monthly sales in the past to grieve over. Just one download this month, but that was HD1080.

November 2012 was about middling for the year in terms of income and DLs. Downloads dropped year on year, similar to other contributors' reports above although maybe not as drastically as some. Income 95% of same time last year, so a little down on 11/2011 and about the same as 11/2010.

Thanksgiving always seems to be a light week for sales and the hurricane hitting the east coast of the US seems to have had an impact on sales in the early part of the month. I uploaded a lot of new clips at the end of the month and that's when most of my sales for the month occurred.

But despite the fewer sales in November, 2012, my income was about $120 more.  So overall, not too bad for me.

I really avoid looking at numbers as it makes me we want to go independent immediately.

i seem to be getting more refunds than sales recently. ive given up all hope for this place

Same trend for me...and same trend that's been happening for the past 5-6 months.  Hardly any downloads and mysterious amounts showing up on my balance with no record of what's been sold.

Worst month of the year so far. This is not getting better and and I guess it never will.


My royalty rate will go down next year.  I'm looking for more options out there for 2013.

^ If that applied to every month, that would be a lot more than keeping the faith! Luckily, your other months seem to be getting you some sales.
