^ We have that.  It's hidden under more attributes on the left hand side.

Yes, it's a little low down the page but it's there:

Here's a quick tip. You can usually easily check which thread is about which topic by reading the tile. For anyone looking to discuss the price slider - that thread is here:

New price slide values - +Updated Jan 24

This thread on the other hand is discussing the BM, not the price slider, I think that may have been mentioned before, but probably worth mentioning again. Please do try to stay on topic.

Thanks.

I feel I need to respond to everyone directly regarding BM news. You have to have patience. You aren't going to see perfection immediately. Im talking weeks worth of patience. Not a couple of days. Don't get so annoyed with it all and spend so much time in the forums demanding we respond. Please know we are watching things more closely than the contributor base. There will be some tough sorts from time to time but we are working on things continually.

We appreciate the feedback on the sorts you are finding. We aren't asking you to stop letting us know when things are looking wonky. It would just be more helpful for all involved if we can stay focused and diligently stay on topic.

Lobo... now I feel you are joking with us... You demand weeks of patience? Wow, as I said before we are patient for months now.... but our customers are not (as we all can see in our stats).

And You are talking about PERFECTION ? Well, we are very far from perfection, and we do not even expect it... We just want nothing more than reliable website... Just give us back BM from the few months ago...

Here you have the map:

                                                                                           We are here /

Perfection ----------------------------------------------------------------------------O--- Complete mess

Please understand... Photobank with broken search is as useful as not working "www.google.com". Photobank = Search engine.

patience ------------------------------------------------0 hammers.

Thats where I am with the perpetual FIX IT FIX IT FIX IT FIX IT that we have from a few folks. You especially considering your talking directly to me in here I'll respond directly to you.

Please do take note. And I think we might want to avoid the ascii-esque art in here. It can go horribly wrong quick.

I do not know the specifics but I am cautiously optomistic. I actually had downloads over the weekend including an E+ which have been very scarce lately. I hope this is a trend rather than a fluke.

I have a calendar too. I might point out that BM has always been a point contention so it's actually been since it was launched on the site that people have been up in arms about it. That is, unless it benefits individual contributors and then they are okay with it.

Do you really believe 22+ weeks its an acceptable timeframe to fix a search engine that was previously working just fine for everyone, including the clients?

Do you think it's acceptable that I have to walk you through this right now? Clearly I have no control on how quickly things are fixed. What I will do is make sure the posts from contributors who are actively involved in the discussion are highlighted and reviewed by the appropriate teams. The folks that are only in here to express outrage aren't getting as much interest as those who are engaged in the discussion.

So please do continue to try and argue with me if you like. You've never had any success with that but I appreciate you keep on trying.

I've done little test with multi word search.

I've search for example: "grass sky".
Next I add keyword that probably is in all files and result should be very closely - "green".
Next keyword - "blue".

The more keywords I add the more very new files with 0DL are in results.
I think results should be similar.

Hope it help a little with adjustment BM to expectations.

Sorry, it is not personal. We all know a forum moderator has nothing to do with timelines and programming. But sure he can get the message to the right people.

I understand coding is not easy, specially when working with a mess of a website like this one. I've been working closely with web programmers for about 15 years now, even doing some coding myself, so I have a pretty good idea of what it takes. As per my work experience, in 22 weeks you could build a whole new working website: if you know what your doing, have the budget, the right ammount of qualified people working on it, and keep everybody motivated.

Also, deadlines are important... never heard of a "we'll get there when we get there" kind of deadline. Time is running, and clients are running away with it.

That being said, I'm not sure how hurried istock programmers are working on the BM, which as we all know, is the base of this business. There's no pressure/motivation for them to work in a timely maner, because their salaries are not the ones that have been jeopardized.

Many of those annoying contributors that have been referred to, are the ones paying those salaries. But also, they are the ones paying for istock's mistakes, even if those contributors have been doing their work as expected... for years. It is their business and income which is been played with, so they have all the right to ask for some consideration, respect and a working BM.
-----

I'm not uploading anything until I see a fully working search engine as it makes no sense for me to lose all the work > a whole year of my work was killed with the current BM.

As long as we know you guys are dealing with the problem trying to fix it, I am fine. The problem is when concerns are not listen and problems are ignored. This time this is not the case.
I agree with you, we have to be patient and let you fix the problem. In the midtime, please try not to bury E+ files in BM. Give priority to this E+ issue before people here convert them back to regular exclusive files.

Fritztin: I never said anyone was annoying, so don't put put words in my mouth. If you are under the impression that things aren't being communicated bear im mind that there are more people at more levels in the company reviewing the forums than ever before. So you can rest assured things aren't being over looked.

ALL: We can't hope to respond to things as quickly as they are brought up. We have several layers of people to go through before we post responses. It's not that we are ignoring issues you have to appreciate we aren't going to continue to post: we are working on it. It doesn't alleviate things to perpetually ask for more time, but you can see I'm doing what I can to reassure the membership that we are busy at work.

Thanks, folks. I'll be around all day.
