You have to watch out for those drop bears

Posted Sun Dec 9, 2012 7:44AM | Well, this is a hard one for me, our canadian Christmas usually coming with snow and cold weather... I will enjoy watching your pictures guys! |
Posted Sun Dec 9, 2012 8:00AM | This one would have been impossible but I fortunately took some beach photos that included Santa hat-wearing models a few years ago. What a narrowly-themed PTOTW.

Just one from me...accepted this morning.

Posted Sun Dec 9, 2012 11:31AM | Well I think this gives me an idea of what to shoot this week here in Florida! |

Hopefully something like this works as well:

Christmas lunch starter of breadcrumb mussels.
For people who have the day off but are of different religions, the afternoon of Christmas and New Year is often spent on the beach.
Who doesn't like balloons...! Happy Festive Season! |
Posted Sun Dec 9, 2012 11:47PM | Another proud Aussie with no Aussie Christmas images. Beers and seafood BBQ with a santa hat. I really should do something like that for next year. |

Bondi Beach is going to be thrice as crowded as this on New Year's.
Summer in Australia is also a great time for road trips around the country! |

Christmas on the beach concept. A gilttering bauble, typical Christmas tree ornament, against a background of seashells.

What about celebrating the New year's day with a drink on the beach?

I'm always on some tropical beach for Christmas!

surprised to see my suggestion here.... didn't think it had a chance of getting up. I sense some frustration but perhaps you are getting a glimpse into OUR world down here, where all xmas cards have snowflakes on them!!! I've got plenty of summer xmas images... not stock though. I these ones are doing nicely so far.
you should see the great food shots done by grocery chain Woolworths - really clever things like a watermelon slice fashioned into Santa's hat, kiwifruit cut into stars, salads fashioned into xmas trees... |

No platypus or koala in a Santa hat?
I think it's probably an offence to even touch those two creatures in the wild, esp the former which are quite rare. |
Posted Thu Dec 13, 2012 4:49AM | How about huntsmen hanging off christmas trees like baubles? |

I don't understand this. Stereotypes for Christmas and New Year are Snow, Christmas Trees, Santa, Celebration, Numerical presentation for Year Coming,... How's all of this fitting in Southern hemisphere? Should we show beaches, scorching temperatures and such?
Christmas for me is most definitely not snow or anything like it. It is hit days, scorching sun and flies... spent at the beach!
Not quite a spider on a xmas tree but common at this time of year
Not many xmas shots in my port and none really summery except for this xmas star drawn in the sand on the beach ...
