   Posted Thu Dec 20, 2012 1:24AM | this page design is awesome...congrats!
..but...
ain't it "confusing" if the search tab appears in the center first (homepage), then it's moved on the header (other pages)? Isn't this affecting the site usability? |
Posted Thu Dec 20, 2012 1:36AM | Good! Like it and think it will really do much better than the current homepage. |

Nice page!
The only thing I miss from the "old" istock is a "new uploads" box/sections, maybe in the lower part of the page. I would be happy if this box would be restored in the new istock hp. :)
I agree with this 100%. The New uploads link got people interested because it was always changing. And views are important, because they show that a world wide Internet audience is watching and actively taking part. |
Posted Mon Dec 31, 2012 2:45AM | Sorry but its not clear for me. Where we can see the test page? |
Posted Mon Dec 31, 2012 3:28AM | Look at the original post, Anett. (I don't know if it once linked to a live example – it doesn't now.) |
Posted Mon Dec 31, 2012 4:59AM | I cant see there any webpage address .

There's a downsized screen shot in the OP. The new design has been tested live, so some people in some territories will have seen the page live, but it's not generally available to everyone, everywhere. |
  Posted Mon Dec 31, 2012 3:15PM | I feel it's good, |
  Posted Tue Jan 1 10:30PM | Love it! |

The new Home Page is still missing here, even if I use the site in english.
Any ETA?

I am in the Northeast USA and have cleared my Cache on FF and still get the old landing page.
Yet on EI I see the new page.

Posted Wed Jan 9 9:33AM | Havent seen it here in West Eurpoe on IE or FF or Safari and it seems Cruelbritannia is out of bounds.

Posted Sun Jan 20 6:43AM | Okay, now I can see it, some questions:
Why do people have to scroll to see the bottom? Why is it designed to only be viewable on a 30-inch monitor? Why is it a vertical design when nearly every display on the planet is horizontal? Maybe it was designed with tablets in mind but then, other than rotating, why doesn't it adapt the scale or anything else for mobile devices? Why do the mouseovers just turn into a bland solid color? Why isn't there any moving imagery? Even changing stills? |
Posted Sun Jan 20 3:56PM | There are a limited number of categories we can use and I assume can be searched as " categories". INDUSTRIAL and TRANSPORTATION have been omitted from the landing page. |
Posted Sun Jan 20 6:23PM | it took me a full minute to find the search box. Maybe I'm dumb but I was looking at the top where I expected it to be , where it is on most website that I use. I'm firmly in the camp of "if it ain't broke don't fix it" there was nothing wrong with the search box being at the top. Now we will have to wait and see if it is broken. |

The same happened to me, I looked at the top for a while, trying to find the search box... |

Posted Thu Mar 7 4:52PM | Hi all,
We are now in the process of updating all our localized versions of the home page with the winning treatment. You'll see the updated version home page go live over the next week or so.
Thanks for all the constructive ideas you suggested here. We are currently planning some further testing on the site to continue to optimize our key landing pages; more details to come soon.
Thanks,
Helen |
