PTOTW - Scouted

To find Scout acceptances in your email (if you don't delete them), here are a few phrases to search:

recent: Scout I’ve reversed the decision and added the image to your portfolio.

from 2009 (I don't know how long this text was being used): Congratulations, a scout ticket that you have submit has resulted in a rejection being overturned!

More clarification on this theme: we don't need your rejection reason, we're looking for files that have been rejected, no resubmit, Scouted, Scout overturning the rejection, and at least one sale on those files.

I found this initial rejection hard to understand, Scout backed me up and it's now had 101 sales. 

I forgot which ones I scouted, is there anyway to check that ??

This poker guy's whisky splash took some to-ing and fro-ing with inspectors and scout, but got it through eventually. Only sold once though.

I had this one accepted by scout after I wrote a little note explaining how it took ages with the flash on rear-slow sync to get the motion blur right.  I am glad I made the effert and scout over turning it after bringing in 185 downloads and $870

Can I cheat a little - this one was scouted and accepted - but came back with a Vetta rating (not asked for!) - no sales, but good for the ego at the time ...

I just dug through emails and found an old one from 2009 (no, I do not delete emails ); the text in the body says:

"Congratulations, a scout ticket that you have submit has resulted in a rejection being overturned!"

Does anyone have a recent email? and has the acceptance wording been changed? (I'll add that email text and any others to the OP)

Here's the rejected file that I resubmitted and within a week after being approved it sold.



Below is what the rejection read. No, I didn't use an on camera flash, highlights weren't blown, no lens flare that I could see, and my white balance wasn't incorrect. (I never can figure out why something like this is rejected especially on the reasons stated.)

We found the overall composition of this file's lighting could be improved. Some of the technical aspects that can all limit the usefulness of a file are
-Flat/dull colors
-Direct on-camera flash and/or flash fall-off (bright subject, dark background)
-Harsh lighting with blown-out highlights that lack details and/or distracting shadows
- Distracting lens flares
-Incorrect white balance

folks, we don't need your rejection reason, we're looking for files that have been rejected, no resubmit, Scouted, Scout overturning the rejection, and at least one sale on those files (share up to three). My previous post was asking what the text is in the Scout acceptance so you can search in your email to find them.

Not sure if this one counts... This is the only file that I have had accepted by Scout. Since it was a couple days ago I haven't racked up any dLs yet, but I'm hoping there are many in store for the future!

My first extended license was with this one, initially rejected because it was "too dark".  It's an empty nightclub dance floor.  Of course it's dark! Second highest in royalties.


 


This one was rejected for upsizing, something I've never done.  When Scout clarified that the resolution on my scanner was not what it claimed I downsized it and it got accepted. My second most dls. 


 


This one was rejected for lighting, but Scout reversed that.  3 downloads so far.
