PHOTO: Color chalk

This is my first critique request. Here is the photo:

Reason of rejection is:

We found the overall composition of this file's lighting could be improved. Some of the technical aspects that can all limit the usefulness of a file are:

-Flat/dull colors
-Direct on-camera flash and/or flash fall-off (bright subject, dark background)
-Harsh lighting with blown-out highlights that lack details and/or distracting shadows
- Distracting lens flares
-Incorrect white balance


 
Could you help me to understand what exactly is reason for this rejection?

I'm sure it's hard to say anithing from this size. Is this the origianl size of the uploaded file?

Distracting shadows seems the most likely of the 'lighting' rejects.


The colours seem a little less intense on bottom right of image?

Yes I know, shadows, but without these shadows no picture in this case.

Your original upload was 2592 x 3872. At the significantly smaller size you've posted here we may not be able to see the detail that the Inspector saw. In this type of light, there are often areas of blown or nearly blown highlights at 100% that are less apparent when downsampled. That may not be the case with your image, but it's impossible to reliably comment on the rejection without seeing exactly what the Inspector saw. That's why we ask that critique requests always be accompananied by the same file you uploaded. Thanks!

Sorry, now should be ok.

You sent a different picture from the one that was inspected. By the way i think that a little more of color saturation would be good. In your original picture the colors are really flat.

Also the shadows can limit the use on microstock photography.

By the way i like the composition.
