In this thread, please only report new bugs, or post new information on existing bugs. This it is not a complaint or discussion thread. Please do not ask for updates or post reports of bugs that have already been acknowledged as they will be deleted.

Remember to include your browser and operating system in your posts here. Also, this thread is not intended to be a log of every typo that you may come across. If you find some such minor issue, please open a support ticket.

Please do not report any delays in updates to the stats charts or report any missing charts as bugs. They will be updated or restored as soon as they can be and posting here does not help to speed up the process.

Please stay on topic. Any discussions that digress from bug reporting will be deleted.

The following issues were anticipated issues resulting from the launch of cash sales:

We are aware of the following and people are currently working to restore these function:

1: Ability to add new ratings on the file close up page (FCUP) has been removed.

JANUARY BUG REPORTS:

Link to Vetta and Agency latest uploads from front page just leads to no results. Details here. 24JAN13 KJ

Contributors report canisters not changing after they reach new target levels, some report waiting weeks or even months for canister and upload slots to update. See This thread for more details. 19JAN13 KJ

OLDER BUGS:

Reported issues with the referral program not providing the stated free credits. See here for details. 31DEC12 KJ

Several reports of WYSIWYG issues preventing images being posted and hyperlinks being removed if a posts edited. See here and here. 31DEC12

A few contributors have reported difficulties when trying to add files to lightboxes, when using a variety of browsers. See here and here. 21DEC12 KJ

Downloads by file type chart since September shows lower numbers than the monthly chart above it. Appears that some sales, possible the new cash sales, are not being included in the data shown. 29NOV12 KJ

Files appear to be getting resized and ratio not maintained correctly Example here. 29OCT12 KJ

Changes to the file description do not take effect until they are saved a second time. e.g. If a contributor wishes to add a new piece of info such as a lightbox to the description area, they must first make the edit and click on save and then click on continue and then repeat the whole process again for anything to happen. 10OCT12 KJ

Loupe images appear to be getting fractionally enlarged, resulting in the thumbnails looking soft compared with the thumbnail shown on the FCUP or downloadable comp. e.g this file looks lower quality in the loupe version. Comparative mage here. 05OCT12 KJ

CV language is changing randomly such as here where they changed to Spanish and here changed to (possibly) Polish. 30SEP12 KJ

The first click to see the latest editorial photos will often show creative photos too. Page has to be manually refreshed to show the editorial files. Latest editorial files. 30SEP12 KJ Update: Clicking the link above now seems to show only creative and not editorial photos. Refreshing the page does not seem to resolve the issue any longer. 16JAN13 KJ

Clicking the option to show active dollar files on the my_uploads page does not show all files in the Value Collection. e.g. searching through the Value Collection and sorting by contributor, I see I have 86 files in the Value Collection, but only 27 show when the active dollar file filter is used. Screen shot. 17SEP12 KJ

View stats on my_uploads page and file close up page are apparently not updating as previously or showing true figures. 12SEP12 KJ

EL sales data not showing on the usual EL page - partly fixed but still does not appear on license_earnings.php page. Details here. 12SEP12 KJ

Meta data of unfinished uploads disappears after a day or so. This means contributors have to redo all keywording for those files. 24AUG12 KJ

Disambiguated UK English keywords being turned into undisambiguated US English keywords. See here for more. 01AUG12 KJ

There are no dates for last exclusive+ download e.g. here. Clicking on sales number does not link to anything also. KJ

Subscription Royalties & delayed royalties showing errors in download figures e.g. this one showing 65535 delayed royalties. KJ

Site mails and forum posts being truncated - possibly a WYSIWYG issue - e.g. this post Also, non Latin alphabet characters causing problems in caption and image description boxes, so any punctuation marks such as apostrophes, ampersands & umlauts etc can cause rest of text to be truncated. e.g. here and a little more info here. Referral mail personal message field also can't handle thesel characters and on the received mail it shows a "?" instead. Ref# KJ-35

Forum subscribe/unsubscribe - These two options are backwards. Ref# PH-9

WE ARE ALREADY AWARE OF ALL OF THE ISSUES ABOVE.

PLEASE DO NOT RE-REPORT THEM HERE.

WE WILL PROVIDE UPDATES ON THESE ISSUES WHEN WE CAN.

RESOLVED BUGS

Facebook sharing links not working. 10JUL12 KJ Update 07JAN13:Now the Linedin and Twitter social sharing links below the files on the FCUP don't work either. Email button still works. Update 11JAN13: Social links now working and users able to post to the personal FB pages, although not any other pages they may administrate - which they previously could.

Acceptance rates show up as 0% for all contributors. 16DEC12 KJ

Several video files show up ok as search thumbnails but clicking on the file leads to a 503 error page. Details here. 15DEC12 KJ

UPDATE: The retropayments for the royalty drop that occured on Nov 22/23 has now been paid out. Please note this did not effect everyone. If your rate did drop and you had sales over that 20 hour period, you should have received an emai outlining the files licensed and the amount paid back. 20DEC12.

Reports that significant numbers of E+ files mirrored on Getty have vanished. 16NOV12 KJ UPDATE: Work is ongoing in the transfer of files, as assets are mirrored over there the team continues to look into this. 07DEC12 KJ

Reports of people having to repeatedly opt out of the PP (although files are not actually selected for inclusion in the PP) example here. And also people are getting opted out of the PP multiple times example here. 01AUG12 KJ

This file appears to have more than 4200000000 downloads. 09DEC12 KJ UPDATE: A script will be run to correct this. 13DEC12 KJ

Resubmitted images are losing their Model Releases - long running issue. KJ Update: This is performing as it should. A resubmit means image AND release. Confirmed by Sirimo.

The downloads numbers, royalties and other stats displayed may vary according to which page you check them e.g. the my_uploads page may differ from the portfolio page, which may differ from the file's close up page etc. Example here and more specific examples here. KJ Update: each area caches on a different cycle and my-uploads is the closest to real time that contribs can get.

Royalties & stats not adding up on the E+ page. E+ royalty numbers listed on the E+ page are incorrect. For example, sjlocke has an image with 500+ E+ downloads, supposedly, for an E+ total royalty of $26.00 . KJ

Edits to keywords are not reflected on site e.g. This file has had several keyword like Fish eye lens removed over a week ago but they still show up. 30SEP12 KJ UPDATE: This appears to be a display issue, the keywords that are removed remain visible, but they do no affect any search results. 07DEC12 KJ

Old sales of prints show current date not the date they actually sold on. Example here. 12SEP12 KJ. Update: A very low priority fix, affected contributors can contact Contributor Relations if they need any extra data for these sales.

The Technical Wiki page is only showing the first 10 items, regardless of how it's sorted, with no way to navigate through to other items, other than manually changing the url page number. 01AUG12 KJ Update: 07JAN13: A new Wiki is being developed for release hopefully in early 2013.

Multi-word non-cv searches also misbehave if you change the sort order. Example here. 29NOV12 KJ

Not sure if it's a bug or just a change, but the personal blog page is not displaying lightbox banners anymore. Only when you click on the "more" link the banners become visible. Not an improvement in my opinion.

Per Kelvin and Cobalt above....

Why is Microsoft making available remakes/illustrations of my car photo? And making it a free download? This would seem to be contrary to the iStock buyers agreement for no redistribution!

Why was my file turned into an illustration? This is a violation of my copyright!

www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-132558-auto-1939-chevrolet-with-flames.php?st=d1ab25f
vs
office.microsoft.com/en-us/images/results.aspx?ex=2&qu=car#ai:MC900440335%7Cmt:0%7C>

I would like to collect on those 203,056 downloads!!!!! Is iStock going to reimburse me for this apparent Microsoft outlet?

I have ticket #1151372 open from March 2012 and they are still giving away this image. Can we get some action?

Let's see...$19 (iStock xsmall) x 30% (my RC level) x 203,056 sales = $1,157,419. I'll consider taking that to not contest the copyright issue.

Edit: added calculation of $ loss.

/I have found two of my vetta files, and also vetta files from other contributors. and of course many more files with thousands of downloads. Also images from getty from a collection called "fuse". The files all have new and very professional titles and keywords in german and english.

There is a picture of a car from a well known contributor that has been downloaded over 1 Million times (1.3 Mio)

ETA:
Just found one of mine with over 370 000 downloads

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/images/results.aspx?qu=love&ex=1#ai:MP900443107|pn:PN000064367|

and on the english site my retro phone has over 200 000 downloads!!, the red bauble that never sold has over 650 000 downloads!!

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/images/results.aspx?qu=christmas&ex=1#ai:MP900442806|

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/images/results.aspx?qu=telephone&ex=1#ai:MP900438702|

so our files are available in different microsoft sites, different languages, different titles and keywords and different download volumes.

istock - I expect an explanation!!! And action!!

The website is displayed in two versions on different browser version IE8 Windows 7 Enterprise displays new website layout but IE9 Windows 7 Pro displays old layout,  I am not sure why but I have cleared cache on all of my stations and it is still the same.

I have an issue with the keyword disambiguation, which is either a bug or a feature request:

In order to speed up the disambiguation process, I would like to enter keywords in their full length. For example, instead of entering "Male" and then disambiguating to "Male (Human Gender)", I would like to enter "Male (Human Gender)" directly and not be asked to disambiguate.

Unfortunately, if I enter "Male (Human Gender)", the system will still ask me to disambiguate "Male" and additionally will add the keyword "(Human Gender)".

Considering the need to increase production efficiency and productivity in today's market, I would be very happy if iStock/Getty could adapt the keyword input field, so that it compares the input with the terms in the CV. If a term matches, then there should be no need to disambiguate.

Kelvin: I'm looking forward to your answer on this Thanks for your hard work!

Is site speed no longer considered to be an issue - I am still finding it painful to use the site - initial search results are being returned quick enough, but I am having to wait nearly 10 seconds for a file close up page to load?

I just discovered today that one of my images is also being distributed on the microsoft office website for free. It has been downloaded a shocking 2,595,732 times. How can that be promotion? How can you sell my image if you give it away for free? How does this benefit me. You have just overexposed my image with more than 2.5 million uses, you have lowered its market value.

Regarding the issue with MS, there is a thread dedicated just to that issue here now:

2.5 million downloads for free through microsoft!?! Is this legal?

I think it's probably going to be easier for everyone if that thread is used for reporting any issues or concerns. I think it will also be the place where any feedback from HQ is most likely to appear, this thread's format not really being geared towards discussion.

@Luis - I'm not sure that the CV was ever meant to work in the way that you have tried, so I'm not really sure that it's a bug as such. What may be worth doing is reposting your issue in a new thread in the Keywording forum, where one of the keyword admins may be able to offer you some tips to streamline the DA process.

Hi Will.

I'm not sure that's a bug as such because, as far as I know, it is currently working as it is intended to work, even if that is not how it used to work or how you may wish it to work. I appreciate that there hasn't been a response to your more recent question there, but I think the issue is probably best handled in the existing thread here. That way, the tech people can reply directly to those concerned.

I will ask this week though if anyone working on the zoom function team can offer any more info on this. Also, it's worth keeping in mind that the current zoom is not something set in stone forever, the OP of that linked thread stated:

"In January we'll be releasing some performance improvements and additional features to the zoom tool, so that should be something to look forward to after the New Year."

So perhaps there is some potential solace in that.

After downloading a file, when I click "Continue Browsing," I am taken to a search results page with no results. Not sure what I'm supposed to be browsing, but seeing any images would probably be better than seeing zero images.

OK. Since I was the one who reported that FaceBook sharing was not working in July 2012 it might as well be me who reports that Twitter and LinkedIn are now not working either.
