we as individuals can do nothing, except of quitting our iStock distribution contract, which i think isn't an option for most contributors.

Maybe it's time to federate into an union of all exclusive iStockers?!

What did the union of elected contributors do when the big frauds happened?

take a lawyer for some legal action against our distributor?

Had anybody heard anything about a deal with Google? Is this the same deal they closed with MS? This 'lack of accurate information feeling' can drive people crazy.

Even if you cancel your contract, sounds like they can continue to give them away freely for a year:

"notwithstanding termination, iStockphoto and its distribution partners shall have the right to continue licensing Accepted Exclusive Content until it is removed from the Site or other sites where Accepted Exclusive Content is distributed and for up to (1) year following termination where such Accepted Content has previously appeared in iStockphoto's promotional materials, CD programs or Distribution Partner marketing programs"

I do get the feeling that the good folk at HQ (between games of rock, paper, scissors) spend an inordinate amount of time working out ways to annoy us (polite version of what I was thinking). This was another good one.

I sometimes wonder if they look at the forums, and at the sales threads, and think "We're doing a real good job here."

This place is out of control. Did they sell the images to google and kept the cash paying NOTHING to contributors? Or they just gave them away? This nonsense is going to continue?
They are spiting in our faces. They do not respect us.

This is outrageous!!!

We demand to be excluded from this and any similar programs where our images are given away for free and stripped of all copyright information!

Istock, you've shown your ugly corporate face of greed many times over the last few years but THIS IS JUST TOO MUCH!

Just found a couple more Vetts with Getty's image # and NO Copyright info, nothing to direct it back to Getty or IS or the contributor.

OK, so now we need another lightbox, in addition to the already requested MS lightbox. Just title them Give Away the Farm v1 and v2.

Perhaps we could accept decent indexing of the iStock library in Google image search as part payment.

This istockresellers is still online?
So lets see, bugs, istockresellers, ms freebies, google freebies. All without compensation. Why wonder why sales are declining ...

Brenda please make sure that an answer to this simple question is included:

Is iStock/Getty gaining any financial or other benefit from this deal with Google, other than the possibility of extra exposure to the site from the promotion?
