I think they stay because they are going to start putting non-exclusive videos onto getty too! When they start doing that, it will be the last perk gone so my plan B will come into play!

5th and 6th week were quite ok. but then again - BM change. and 7th week is 50% of 5th and 6th. i'm tired of BM switches. instead of creating good BM, istock is changing it constantly. it works probably for buyers but not for contributors.

Anybody knows if i go independent ... will my videos from getty will stay or removed .... bcoz getty is only a positive left for me here .... istock is doing nothing like it used to....

It will stay... if it doesen't dissapear (bug). But regarding non-exclusivity, videos are on Getty...

I will be staying Exclusive until I have no choice! I have plan B but do not intend to go to it unless forced. It's nuts around here but I have a lot invested here so I am hanging on. Had a good week last week but who knows for this week Sales will go up and down everywhere, I am going to shoot my way out of this slump (Video Shoot) crazy world so I have to be clear. I have both eyes open and I am really hoping iStock video will come back strong in a short time.

Is this a "rumor" or is it true?

Please staff, let us know.

As far as I am aware yes, non-exclusive video's will be ported to Getty over time, I can not say when but am 90% sure they will go over to Getty.

Last week was surprisingly good, but this week someone pulled the plug again. I kind of start to hate that already

I continue to express doubts about this rumor, that should be verificated ASAP.

The truth is that we do not have plans to move non-exclusive video content over to GI. I am likely the culprit that started that rumor, so my apologies it that is true.

I think the notion of moving non-exclusives comes from the ASA which says that iStock can move non-exclusive files to GI's value oriented properties, such as is done with photos that go to Thinkstock. But of course, there are no other Getty sites that sell video so it does not apply.

This sounds strange. I keep a close eye on BM and I haven't been seeing constant BM changes in relation to Videos. What I have seen are 3 significant changes in the past 6 months:

1. Some time around Sept last year BM became broken. Too much prominance given to File Age, and there was also a problem with searching on multiple keywords. 2. In mid December a band-aid fix was applied which put files with a lot of downloads at the top of the results. After the first page or so, BM was same as before. 3. On Feb 4 a proper fix was applied which actually fixed the multiple keywords problem.

What people are asking for in the BM thread is that the next change should be to improve the ranking of new files that are getting downloads, but have not been getting a corresponding BM boost. This should improve the position of 2012 files, and improve things for contributors who have only been here for a year or two.

99% of my files are from 2012!

Something has happened this month! I have never had a period like this before. My worst stretch without downloads were 3 days in a row. Someone's pulled a plug somewhere! I don't know what to do? Any suggestions?

There is defiantly a problem! Not a single sale since the 8th Feb!!! Who can I contact about this? Either my downloads and royalties aren't being recorded or my files have vanished from the search results so no buyers can see them!

What can I / We do about this? Who from istock can I site mail or speak too?

I still haven't had a download since the 8th Feb. This is beyond belief. I really am beginning to think my video sales aren't being recorded correctly!

Although I had the free video of the month I didn't sell a single video in January.

(Edited on 2013-02-02 10:39:54 by cobalt)

Add me to the list. I had the FVOM in february and I got only 1 (one) DL the whole month which is WME. Worst of the worst. I had two digit DLs on january and 8 DLs in feb '12. This happens also while I increased my portfolio %65 in one year.

I thought that my portfolio would get more traffic and I would get more DLs eventually, but it worked 180 degrees. Very very disappointing.
