Upload limit / canister change problem

Hi everyone,

I'm exclusive vector and photo contributor since May 2010. I have big problem, only 18/168 upload limit for photos. I called support and they did nothing. I emailed twice but problem wasn't solved.

What am I supposed to do to be treated as an exclusive? Who can help me to solve the problem?
Remember, we had new way communication  between IS and contributors. Let's use it.
All I want is to have upload limit as an exclusive, not like non exclusive.

I'm looking forward to hear from someone from support

Same as last time you asked this in the forums. Exclusives have an upload advantage after they reach the bronze canister stage, at 250 photo downloads. Once you get there you should have a lot more upload slots.

Did you just pass 250 recently? It can take a few days for the canister to turn to bronze, I believe.

It's already 4th day.

It seems these changes to cannister colour are taking longer than "normal" at the moment. I passed 2500 dls ten days ago and am still bronze, and my upload limit has not changed. I guess we need to be more patient than usual these days.

Or we need to talk about it more? Maybe someone will hear us.

canister colors/levels are changed manually from time to time, not automatically. that was the answer i was given from support. (patience).

I am in the similar situation. I've reached 25 000 dl on november 30, but my canister is still gold and number of slots is the same (120).


I am waiting almost 2 months!? I have never had such expirience with previous levels. Support told me to wait and i am waiting, but how much longer? While I know that some friend of mine got canister changed like in a couple of days.

My canister changed today, after 7 days I recahed enough for next.  It looks like change of canister is not automaticaly process, but support emailed me that it is. What is going on here?

Canister changes have usually taken a few days to update, once the contributor reaches whatever new level. My understanding was that this was an automatic process, but this was just an assumption. I've added this issue to the bug thread and will see if I can find out what's happening here.

For what its worth I can tell you that my canister changed today, 14 days after I had reached 2500 dls. Not complaining or anything, just saying.

I've reached 10000 dls on January 11, but my canister is still silver and number of slots is the same .


I guess  that not so many contributors reaching new canister level every day, so its  shouldnt be so big problem for support changing a canister level?

The people who asked earlier in the thread about their canisters appear to now all have their newer, higher, shinier ones, so being patient does work. As far as I know, it's not something that Contributor Relations can adjust manually, but you're free to open a support ticket and ask.
