Pocket Wizard Plus 3 and Alien Bees ABxxxx series

My AB CSR wireless receiver just went dead. Since AB told me that they don't repair them and I would have to buy a new one, I am thinking about moving to PocketWizard Plus III's. Just checking here if anyone has used the PW III's with Alien Bees (AB series) and how their experience has been. Smooth sailing or were there any issues?

I have used various PWs with ABs for years, without any problems but have not used the PW IIIs, I see no reason why they would not work.

My plus III is a major battery hog. Not sure if this unit is defective or what. Regardless if its on or not batteries seem to die.

I just added a 3 on my camera with 4 2's on my bees and it works fine.

I use them with no problem or battery drain. In fact my battery last exceptionally long.
