I've been asked by the organizers of a certain team sporting event (national teams, definately not pro as in players getting paid for it, but also definately semi-pro as the event has a world championship status) and if I end up going there I will be properly accredited by them as well.
Now the question is. Would I be able to submit these pictures to iStock as editorial ? The instruction says
"Certain situations will require that you have professional accreditation in order to shoot. Pro sports venues for example will not allow commercial photography without prior accreditation. iStock will not accept images taken without the proper professional accreditation. This includes red carpet celebrity events and pro sport events."
The way I read this is, that as long as I have this accreditation I should be fine. On the other hand I've also read somewhere that iStock does not want any sport event photos period.
So which is it ?

If you have the proper accreditation and submit it with the images, then they should be acceptable within the guidelines.
