I am thinking of buying a Nikon d600. Now i read abouth the dust/oil problems. Does anyone has any experience or knows if the problem has been solved?

It's actually not oil in many cases, but microscopic bits of machine parts coming off from pieces rubbing together. The common solution is to take ~3000 pictures and send it off to Nikon for a free cleaning. (free aside from shipping costs...) My solution until I actually get that many shots is to keep updating my "dust-off reference" file and let it sort out the spots on its own.
This is completely unacceptable from Nikon, but remember the spots are only in one corner of the image and they don't fly too far into the frame, and like all sensor spots they aren't visible in every shooting situation. (2.8 and wider aperture, non-macro shots and with no solid background such as sky.. lol) It's a great camera it just needs to be broken in like a new pair of shoes.
