Hello,
I am wondering about remote triggering a camera.  I know that pocket wizards will trigger a wide variety of dslr's but I am looking to remote trigger a point and shoot camera that shoots camera raw and has good quality and to my knowledge pocket wizards will not trigger a point and shoot.  I have been looking at the Canon powershot G15 because it shoots camera raw and only weighs 10.7 oz. but I am really open to any model camera/trigger configuration. I need a trigger that has at least a several hundred foot range but a range equivalent to pocket wizard is ideal. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have seen various threads where people have taken apart their P&S and wired in a port to hook up a PW.

Another option couple be a Remote control for cars or plans and using the servo to push the trigger.

Here is just one thread http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYhf1u1zs_s

There are really 2 questions here:

1. Does your camera have a shuttle release port?  A G15 does. (So you can use a pocket wizard)

2. What kind of remore will you use, and do yo need some kind of adapter? If you need to go wireless, tell us.  If you can go wired, it is ussually the most reliable and cheapest way to go.
