I really don't know what is my motivation

 
each day I want something different

 
so I just shoot and upload

I am excited and motivated by history - my portfolio is heavily weighted in this direction.


Firstly, this is Norwich, where I was born. It's a city full of history - and I don't get there anywhere near often enough. When I do, I find I'm constantly taking photos of the same things - I can't help it!





More history. This is a 19th century engraving of the last attempt at building a tunnel under the English Channel, in 1882. They obviously lacked the motivation to finish it!





I am always motivated by old documents and find it hard to keep my hands off them, reading them, handling them, thinking about what they have 'seen'. (Or maybe I'm just nosy!) This is a loving letter sent by a British RAF serviceman in 1944.

Traveling to different places motivates me to make a photograph. I can find interesting subjects away from home or right near-by.
