Does anyone remember who is the member who runs photo tours in North Africa? Perhaps Tunisia, I don't recall.

I'm not sure if this is who you mean guenterguni

Thank you for the thought, but it's a lady in North Africa (I think, Tunisia).

Are you going to Africa??

There'd be half a chance if I could remember who this member is. I like the idea of visiting one of the drier regions, and to do so on a tour targetted at photographers might be fun. I once spent the whole of an in-flight movie looking down on the Sahara as it slowly panned by, while trying not to let too much light spill into the fuselage. I think the movie was Champion, but the Sahara was better.
That said, Tunisia is not an obvious choice at the moment. And I quite like the idea of some of the countries in southern Africa.

Right now, I doubt there is anywhere that is really "safe". But, I do plan on visiting Africa this year as well. I think Subman (Henk) lives in Stellenbosch, Western Cape (South Africa). But, that is a touch away from where you want to be. Eh?

I can almost hear a South African accent. Eh?
There seem to be loads of small nature reserves close to Stellenbosch, and that's the kind of thing that would interest me. What I would like to avoid is somewhere where all the lions have tags in their ears, and you can't move for biologists. One biologist in an area of a hundred square miles is plenty.
Of course, the other thing I'd like to avoid is grockles, but this is a hard requirement when you are one yourself.
ETA: On the subject of safety, the last time I visited Kenya I was invited to sleep with a hockey stick under my bed. At 4am the dogs were yowling, but it was a false alarm. Just a couple of lions wandering up from Nairobi National Park, hunting for domestic cattle.

The have hockey sticks on Kenya?

^ Not to go at all off-topic, Kenya has a very good hockey team. And (entirely without prejudice) their cricket team would thrash that of many of the countries you have visited.
Nice portfolio, by the way!

I vaguely remembered reading something by a "rose" or similar in the forums. After some searching I came across rosafrei. Maybe she's the person you're looking for?

D'you know, I think that's a 'Bingo!'.
Thank you. I will contact Rosa.

Hi "stockwerk" thank you for remembering me! I guide photo tours all over Morocco, but I am specialized in the South and the desert. I offer private tours and group tours for people interested. I will be happy to have some istockers on my tours.
