For some reason I thought that the Chrome store would automatically update our extensions. Do we need to do it manually?

That's what the Chrome store documentation says. Although it could take several hours from me publishing a new version to it ending up on your machine. (I've no idea how big a range "several hours" covers though - they don't mention that anywhere).

Does it update only sometimes for you? Or never?

(BTW, I had to un-check the "show latest sales" to get rid of the LOGGED OUT message, too.)

I have a few more ideas to try out when I make some time. Hopefully I'll get to the bottom of it before too long, but at the moment the mysteries of the istock website have me a bit baffled on why this works for some people and not others.

I've had the big red "Logged Out" message also for the last week or so. Finally had time to check the forum for a solution, and unchecking the notification for logged out, seemed to have worked. As far as I can tell so far, the rest of the script is working properly.

I just re-read that and realised how ambiguous my answer was - sorry!
The Chrome store documentation says that updates happen automatically, not that you need to do it manually

I've just released v1.1.3
The only change is another attempt to fix the problems some people are seeing with not checking for new sales and mis-reporting that you're logged out.

If you'd like to see if this does fix them for you (and really - it's a nice feature for the lucky ones of us ) remember to re-enable both the Check for new sales option and the Report if logged out option after the new version is installed.

Please do let me know if it does or doesn't help. Thanks!

As you'll know if you've been following along, if your balance has changed since you refreshed the page then the displayed balance in your toolbar will update (and be shown in yellow so that you can easily see that it's changed).

New release v1.1.4 goes a little further and displays some text when you put your mouse over the balance in the toolbar to tell you what the balance was when you refreshed the page last, how many times the script has seen the balance change since then, and how much the balance changed each time:

Uploaded the laterst version (1.1.4) of the app and also the script putting the toolbar on to. Now when I write a froum post some empty lines are added on top of my post and at the end Toolbar Position and color Scheme is added as seen in this post. Editing does not result in permanenty erazing this extra information.  You can see the additions in this post.

Yeah, that's the toolbar script with the extra icons interacting with WYSIWYG editing mode somehow. A couple of people have reported that.
I use UBB mode, but if I switch to WYSIWYG mode everything still works...I can't get that problem to happen.

If you like the extra toolbar features it might be worth getting used to UBB mode instead. If you're wedded to WYSIWYG mode, the extra toolbar features might not be worth the trouble.

(I confess that I'm not very motivated to try to chase down this problem because I really dislike using the WYSIWYG editor - sorry. If someone can come up with some clues as to what the cause of the problem might be, I'd be happier to look at it.)

Thank you. I am sure I am not wedded to the WYSIWG mode or theoretically mind changing into the UBB mode if I just had the faintest idea what you talk about, those modes (and words) are just like chinese to me. I do love the toolbar app and want to keep it and until the latst version did not have this problem.

The script that moves the position of the toolbar is the one that causes the trouble. You can just downgrade that to the older version that works.

There's links to the older version of that script and a bit of information about downgrading over in the toolbar script thread.

A thing I do far too often is switch from one of the my_uploads family of pages to another, and each time have to click again to reload the page with the files sorted by the correct column. For example, I'll switch to the Subs page, then I'll have to click on the Delayed Royalty column because that's what I went there to see, then I'll switch to the DLs page, then I'll click on the Uploaded column because that's what I went there to see, etc., etc.

I've just released v1.1.15 which shows a selection of sort options when you mouse-over (some of) the link buttons so you can go directly to the appropriate page sorted the way you wanted with less clicking.
