hi stocknroll - yes, the data transfer can be done in the same way as with statsprime. the storage folder has changed for the mac version (it is now: "user_home_directory/library/nullplussoftware/pomato.db3" - be aware that on some mac os versions, the library folder is hidden by default). for windows it's still "my documents/nullplussoftware/pomato.db3"

Are you planning to have the facility to allow folders within folders so you can analyse a collection further?
Posted Sat Apr 13 4:22AM
i thought about this at some point, but gave up on the idea - i agree it would be useful in some cases, but currently feel that there are a lot of other features which would be more helpful and which thus have a higher priority on my list. so "folders in folders" is rather unlikely to come anytime soon.

Changing the name of the product when you upgrade it and issuing new licenses is scuzzy. Sorry, but that's what it is.
Posted Thu May 2 12:49AM
sorry, but changing the name had nothing to do with sneaking in the ability to issue new licenses. new licenses would have been required even if the name had been "statsprime v2".

v1.1.0 is now available and brings these changes:
Posted Fri May 17 4:55AM
just a short note to let you all know i'll be on the road for the coming 2 weeks, so all incoming requests will be taken care of from june 3rd. same goes for any software updates, e.g. related to the upcoming restructuring of istock collections (but as those are apparently scheduled for mid/end june, there should be no problems).
Posted Thu Jun 6 11:09AM
please update to v1.1.1 which fixes a series of smaller bugs
Posted Tue Jun 11 11:55AM
Strangely there is a big difference between my istock stats and the pomato stats reported for May. I encountered also a small difference for the April reports. Yes, I updated my data. What could be the issue?
Posted Tue Jun 11 1:18PM
does pomato show you more or fewer sales? did you have any refunds recently?
ETA: are you using the most recent v1.1.1?
ETA2: some more questions: are your numbers for march & earlier ok? when did you do your first data fetch, i.e. when did you first run pomato? do you remember if the numbers were wrong right from the start? are you on a mac or pc? (as you're from canada we are in very different timezones so i try to gather as much info in one go )
also, one thing you can always try is doing a clean fetch and see if your numbers get fixed by that...

I downloaded pomato in May, used it for the first time then. I use a pc. I just downloaded v1.1.1 today. I just checked also my previous months before May. There are a few dollar discrepancies also for previous months, march, february, january. But for May a substantial difference. It shows less in the Pomato stats than in the iStock one. Thanks! I will try a clean fetch, I just wanted to let you know that it seems that the update does not catch all new downloads.
Posted Tue Jun 11 8:47PM
After the clean fetch everything is fine. The stats match. I don't know what was the problem though.
Posted Tue Jun 11 11:25PM
glad your numbers match now & thanks for reporting this. i sporadically get these "my sales don't match" reports (i'd say one a month) but i haven't been able to reproduce the error myself. i can only guess it has something to do with the site "forgetting" you're logged in during a data fetch (as it sometimes does when you use a browser)... i'll see if i can come up with a solution to this.
Posted Fri Jun 14 2:53AM
Well there go the graphs. It seems everything previous has changed now that the collections have changed.
Posted Fri Jun 14 4:44AM
what exactly is wrong in your case?
actually the app should have shown a warning saying you shouldnt do any data fetches until there is an updated version available. did you do a data fetch?
ETA: if you did do an update, then yes, your charts will be broken (for now) because the current version can't handle the new collections.

Posted Fri Jun 14 6:49AM
I got no warning. I have done a normal update, so I am guessing that the previous stats are now wrong.
Posted Fri Jun 14 8:28AM
please download v1.2.0 which adds support for istock's new collection structure.
after updating, you will not have to do a clean fetch, just a "normal" fetch. as usual, do a clean fetch only if you feel there is something wrong with your numbers.
-> lostinbids: in your special case, a clean fetch might be necessary (or not). please do a normal fetch, then see if things are ok.
istock has announced that the collection restructuring will take place in several steps over the next few days. in case any of the upcoming changes made to the site will affect pomato, i'll try to provide an update asap. i'll keep my eyes open, but don't hesitate to let me know if you find anything does not work as expected.
one thing to keep in mind:
if you open a lightbox in pomato (or use the keyword optimizer), you will notice that the files in that lightbox will jump back to the collection they had before the collection changes (e.g. "plus" instead of "signature", "agency" instead of "vetta", etc). this is because search results & lightbox data on the site currently show the old collections (i assume this is one of the things which will be fixed in the following days). however, this data will not be saved to pomato's database, so once you restart your app, your files will show the correct/current collection again. as said, this issue should disappear once the migration on the istock side is complete.

Struggling to stay logged in with this new release. Usually I have Pomato do the login at startup and that worked. The problem is now I am almost instantaneously logged back out, the “green” status in upper right corner flashes back to white (then green…white…ect).
I have tried “Fetch new files and sales” but after an hour or more my status screen is filled with:
-> RETRY executeRequest(): Invalid use of BasicClientConnManager: connection still allocated. Make sure to release the connection before allocating another one.
The LightBox functions similarly flashing between logged in and error message: “This module can only be used while you are signed in”
Your help in resolving this is greatly appreciated.

my first (and only) guess so far is that this is related to the current and ongoing site changes and that the server might reset users' login status when istock makes changes to the site / servers. the new pomato release does not contain any changes to the login mechanism and on my end everything looks good (data fetching, lightboxes, etc). please let me know if the problem persists, though.
ETA: while the "root cause" of the effect you describe was indeed the site forgetting you're logged in, there is also a problem with how v1.2.0 handles that situation. hang on, new version coming up...
(and thanks for reporting!)
