I read about this the other day, sounds interesting. I've not got any of their apps, being pretty happy with LR but for that price I could be tempted to see what all the fuss is about. Especially with Silver Efex Pro.

Kelvin, Silver Efex Pro gives a nice assortment of interesting and non-destructive "effects" - even for a normally ham-fisted artifact effecter like yours truly.

Silver Efx Pro is the best B&W conversion imho, specially if you start to twiddle those dials and get away from the presets. Then you find a nice custom effect you like you can store it and add it to the presets, very quick to use.

Kelvin!  forget LR. Get yourself the silver effex pro!  fantastic software. As is the HDR effex pro. Really professional and non destructive  programs.

Google bought Nik? I don't see an option to get anything free if you own some parts. I have vivemo (sp?) and HDR. Would love the Silver for free if I could figure out how to get it. Thanks for the tip!

If you own other Nik products, which you do, and have them registered with Nik then you can get the entire collection for free.  I'm lacking the Sharpener Pro and HDR programs but will probably pick those up as the price is certainly right.

I tried but the Nik site only shows the purchase for the set. If I figure it out I'll post

As I've heard, you have to contact them by email and they'll send you a download link. Besides that, check your spam folder, my purchase mail was there, so some other mail from them could have gone there too.

I've got the whole collection myself but the only ones I use are Silver Efex Pro and Color Efex Pro. I wouldn't get them all again.

On the other hand, I find the ones I do use amazing...

Yes, thank you. When a google acquired Nik they emailed everyone to accept the transfer of info. Everyone who had bought any of the software was opted in if they agreed and sent all versions of all of the Nik products.

I thought it was spam and did not opt in. I emailed them and opted in, and received a link to download any or all.

Thanks for sharing the info Tadej!
