This means that player 2559120 goes first, and has to prepare a composite image to upload within 55 hours (the countdown clock is at the top of the page). See rules for image sizes and formats. And no watermarked images please.

You can't do anything until 2559120 posts their image, because you have to use some part of that image in your reply (this is called carry over).

I assume that red flag was a mistake. You throw a flag if you think your opponent has broken some rule.

When he posts the image will appear both as a post in the thread and on the front page of the thread at the top. If you click on the image you should be able to download the psd file. When you post your image in reply make sure to add some text to the post or it will be rejected.

If you start first you should see a upload feature at the bottom of the this forum which will let you upload the PSD (it needs to be under 20 MB), the flattened JPEG and a 350 pixel wide by 276 pixel wide thumbnail. So what are you waiting for get this battle rolling.... Looking forward to seeing your work. You can check one of my current battles I'm having with Che on this link http://www.istockphoto.com/forum_messages.php?threadid=350805 You will be surprised how much you will learn while doing the blows, I've been in the cage for a number of years and it is really help push me to be a better photo compositor

You only see the file upload fields when it's your turn to post, and of course you have to be properly logged in as well. Make sure to write some text in the post box when you upload or your files will be rejected. Hopefully your opponent will post within the next 10 hours or will be disqualified. Don't leave it 'til the last minute to upload, because the upload has to be COMPLETED by the deadline and it can take some time.

Great to see the battle managed to get started and good to see that you managed to download the PSD. The aim of the battle cage is to remix the design from the previous designer using at least one element or one layer the previous blow. The judges usually give more scoring if you leave the elements in the same place as the previous design. I always try to rename the elements I have carried over in the PSD document as a carryover element by renaming layer "carryover" some judges check the PSD file so it's good to do this so they know which element you have carried over. Hope this helpsBy the way thanks for the comment on mine and Ches battle

It looks like you're getting the the idea of using existing elements and adding your own elements. I will give you some constructive criticism regarding your blow. When using natural elements you never see any of the same element exactly the same in nature so try and give your work some randomness such as different trees and birds in different positions. It all looks a little too symmetrical to me. Also try and match the lighting is this really pull the piece together. I've just written a tutorial for photo shop cafe with one of the blows I did from the cage. This has not gone live yet but it will give you lots of tips and techniques on lighting and using elements. I like the idea of the wind turbine being blown
