Can you tell us how we can verify the corrected royalties? Where can we see the total sum that we have been paid as as a result of this royalty adjustment calculation (I don't see anything in my csv data)? When exactly did this bug start and finish? I'm sorry if this is asking a lot but this was iStock's mess up so it would be nice to have a little more detail so we can verify that we are getting paid the correct amount.

Go to you stats page and select "Monthly" and download the CSV, open it and under column "V"  "Admin Adjustment ($)" you should see the total amount paid today, not a breakdown of the individual files.

and ended April 5th 10:00 - 10:20am MDT

Thanks.... but I don't see any "Admin Adjustment" column or $ amount paid today. I know I had downloads during this period, and I received the email telling me my account has been credited the corrected royalty amount but I have yet to see any proof of this.

/^ make sure you select "Monthly" and not "Daily"

and it is column "V" to the far right

ETA: the column headers are collapsed, but all my "Adjustments" have been under column "V"

Just sending an email saying 'there was a problem, we solved it' is not really good enough when it comes to payments to artists.

In the past there have been lots of problems with retro-payments that have been identified by eagle-eyed contributors analysing the information they've been given. We need to continue to receive this information so everyone can be happy things are being done correctly.

Please detail the files and amounts involved.

I appreciate that. I sort of hoped it would come in an itemized list too. At the end of the day we can still provide you with the information rather quickly:
  • You can open a support ticket indicating you want more information on what was. Clearly this isn't the best process, as it actually ties up Contributor Relations reps but it's what we have to offer at this time.
  • You can also review your monthly CSV file, which is available on your stats page. Again, not perfect, but you will be able to see the adjustments so it's another option.

Again, it's not as good as an email that itemizes the amount and it's a little cumbersome to deal with the CSV file but in the event you need additional information you can always contact the folks in Contributor Relations directly. Or intent was to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. I'm glad we manage to deal with the bug in the same month it occurred.

I did that and it's showing 0.96.I had about 10 sales payed out at 25% so it's clearly not the right amount.Need to raise a support ticket.

Nice that it was sorted quickly but a really poor email with no helpful information.

When I click on "What are redeemed credits and how do royalties work?" on my stats page, I see targets for 2011. What are my current targets? I expected a different target so I hope these aren't correct. Thanks.

Nobody?

I found a way through the LiveStock app (stats /export)

which gives you data in the format:

2013-04-05 07:05,1.89,Small,22170754,Pay-as-you-go,Regular,7,n
2013-04-05 07:31,11.00,Medium,10557338,Pay-as-you-go,Regular,30,+
2013-04-05 07:31,11.40,Medium,7241949,Pay-as-you-go,Regular,30,+
2013-04-05 08:00,14.80,Large,18860798,Pay-as-you-go,Regular,40,+

Corresponding sales according to website:

05/04/2013 7:05 AM MDT Small Regular $1.89 USD

05/04/2013 7:31 AM MDT Medium Regular $11.00 USD

05/04/2013 7:31 AM MDT Medium Regular $11.40 USD

05/04/2013 8:00 AM MDT Large Regular $14.80 USD

i.e. if a credit is one dollar i got

27%
37%
38%
37%

so I guess everything is fine as my RC level is 35%, the number on the website must be adjusted.

Unfortunately the way this has been handled goes no way to improve trust and confidence of iStock from a contributor's perspective. iStock had a bug that resulted in their contributors being underpaid so should be going the extra mile to assure us they have now paid the correct royalties by providing a fully detailed accounting of every download involved as was done in the past. I appreciate this was supposedly 'sorted out' relatively quickly but that doesn't really amount to much if we don't trust the results (based on previous experiences when this bug occured before and there were errors in the subsequent payouts) and we're unable to easily audit the data.

^ I tried reaching out to Contributor relations directly suggested by Lobo.

I did get a standard reply, but nothing specific regarding a breakdown.

Thanks for the e-mail and the money added to my balance.

It would help if we had an itemized list of files and royalties so we can check with our records.
