I am new to istock and would appreciate the critique on those photos. I am humbled by the fact that istock considered that my work is considered of commercial quality. I am always learning new things, and looking forward to understanding what are the evaluators looking for. Thanks every one for their input.
I can resubmit this one.
Files # 23689078
Sliced transparent cucumber with small red chilli peppers
++ on peppers
We found the overall composition of this file's lighting could be improved. Some of the technical aspects that can all limit the usefulness of a file are:
-Direct on-camera flash and/or flash fall-off (bright subject, dark background)
-Harsh lighting with blown-out highlights that lack details and/or distracting shadows
- Distracting lens flares
-Incorrect white balance

In both of your threads, you haven't provided full size files - the largest we can get to on your flickr page is around 1300x2000. While we get an idea of the lighting from this reduced size, sometimes at full size other secondary issues become apparent that may have also played a role in the rejection. That's why we ask that ALL critique requests be accompanied by the same file the Inspector viewed.
The Inspector has helpfully added an extra, specific note ( "++on peppers" ). From what I can see at this size...those seed areas & stems of the peppers are underexposed-looking compared to everything else which appears brightly lit. I realize this is backlit but regardless, everything is nice and bright across the image except that detail, so it just looks wrong.

Thank you Donald, I will look into why the upload was not full size. I recall uploading the maximum size jpeg from the RAW file. Thank you for the note on the peppers. I could not understand what was meant by the ++peppers.
Have a good one.
