Here's another one that was rejected with No Resubmit:

There was only the copy/paste explanation with nothing specific. Why would they not allow a resubmit and what is the problem with this? Thanks!

I would say it got rejected for noise. The noise on the flower itself could be fixed easily enough, but the noise in the background looks to be beyond repair. Might also have gotten rejected simply based on the content as iStock already has tens of thousands of similar images.

Which generic rejection did you get? That's kind of important. Without that we are all guessing. My guess is that the lighting is a little harsh of the edge of the flower.

This was the exact response:

We found the overall composition of this file's lighting could be improved. Some of the technical aspects that can all limit the usefulness of a file are:

-Flat/dull colors
-Direct on-camera flash and/or flash fall-off (bright subject, dark background)
-Harsh lighting with blown-out highlights that lack details and/or distracting shadows
- Distracting lens flares
-Incorrect white balance

No mention of noise.

Yep...this is an exceedingly common subject and it pretty much takes perfection to get such a thing through. The light is harsh and that awkward highlight on the flower is a problem, as are the distracting out of focus highlights in the background on the right side. The composition isn't bad, and I'm a sucker for nice bokeh, but it's almost too much here: the background is so blurred & abstract that there is essentially no environmental information, the flower head appears to be floating and disconnected from its surroundings.
