Maybe everyone else is better than me at figuring out which files should go into the Plus collection or whether they should stay there or be pulled back into the regular collection. But I need all the help I can get!
The iStock month-by-month graphs are all very well, but they're far from perfect - how well can you compare the 28-days-with-4-weekends of February against the 31-days-with-4-or-5-weekends of March? And when you're only half way through a month how well can you compare this month against last month? And early in the year you only see a couple of months worth of data. Etc, etc.

So, as a first step to trying to make this better, I've made a script that adds a new graph to your file downloads details pages (/file_downloads.php).

statsScript-1

This shows the last 12 months of royalty and number-of-downloads data at 7 day intervals. Each point is how that file has performed over the previous 28 days. So each datapoint is a normalised "imaginary" 28-day month rather than an awkwardly variable calendar month.
If you put your mouse over the graph, the legend in the bottom-left of the graph tells you details about that datapoint - how long ago it was, royalty per month, sales per month, and average royalty per sale.
On the Regular Downloads view it shows you regular sales, on the EL view it shows EL sales, PP view - PP sales, GI view - GI sales.

Chrome users can install it from the chrome store:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/istock-stats-improvements/cbfdegfepelnnkenbodmhefohibemime

The FireFox version is here:

Thanks Kelvin.

v0.0.3 adds some graph icons to the DLs column on the my_uploads page.
statsScript-2

Click one of those and you see the stats graph for that file without having to leave my_uploads.
statsScript-3

Which make it much more useful.

Enjoy!

Oh - it's worth adding that the graph can take a few moments to appear.

For a file that sells really well, it can take a lot of moments to appear. As with many things in life, patience is key

What a great idea this graph!
I think yes, it would allow us to know for each file individually how it sells in time, and how it sells better in terms of its collection to see the developments ...
I look forward there is something finished to be able to install it on firefox.
thank you

Consider it to be experimental. It's not quite as reliable as the Chrome version as yet. But mostly it's fine.

It work here, but for me it seems to show 1 sale on four weeks. For example:

Yep - that's the intention.
iStock's graphs do a fine job of telling us what sales we had when. This graph is telling you how many sales-per-4-weeks and royalty-per-4-weeks you have. So over each week of that 4 week period you were averaging 1 sale per 4 weeks.
It's a type of moving-average.

haaa agree,
the precision of the graph is an evolution in 4 weeks, or almost monthly sales....
thank you for this lighting !

No - it's completely unrelated to lightboxes.
